  • Patent number: 10901440
Abstract: A multi-thermostat temperature control system and related methods include thermostats spaced about respective conditioning zones in conditioned spaces. The control system includes a thermostat controller configured to store a temperature setpoint value for each of the thermostats in an operating schedule. The thermostat controller is also configured to transmit a first control signal to the conditioning units to control an operation of the conditioning units to maintain a temperature of the conditioned spaces at a first respective temperature setpoint value and to receive offset values for respective ones of the thermostats wherein the one or more offset values are determined to counter the temperature effects of a local heat load in the conditioned spaces proximate an associated thermostat.

  • Patent number: 10718541
Abstract: A control system for managing operation of a plurality of thermostats includes a server comprising a processor, a memory, and a communication interface. The memory device stores instructions that when executed by the processor cause the processor to display, on a display device of a computing device, a visual representation for each thermostat of the plurality of thermostats and one or more groups into which each of the plurality of thermostats is grouped, and further to assign an operating schedule to a group, apply the assigned operating schedule to each thermostat of the plurality of thermostats located in the group, and move one thermostat of the plurality of thermostats from a first group to a second group in response to a user dragging and dropping a visual representation of the thermostat on the display device from the first group to the second group.

  • Publication number: 20200109873
Abstract: A thermostat replacement system includes a handheld user computing device having an image capture device. The handheld user computing device is configured to communicate to a network. Thermostat replacement system also includes a server computing device communicatively coupled to the network. The server computing device includes an image analyzer configured to identify image elements in an image captured by the handheld user computing device, and a machine learning algorithm that includes an image elements table of correspondence of learned thermostat configurations. The server computing device also includes a configurator configured to determine a wirelist for connecting existing thermostat wires to a replacement thermostat back plate using a replacement thermostat identification and the image elements table of correspondence.
