  • Patent number: 12135420
Abstract: Systems and methods for depth plane selection in display system such as augmented reality display systems, including mixed reality display systems, are disclosed. A display(s) may present virtual image content via image light to an eye(s) of a user. The display(s) may output the image light to the eye(s) of the user, the image light to have different amounts of wavefront divergence corresponding to different depth planes at different distances away from the user. A camera(s) may capture images of the eye(s). An indication may be generated based on obtained images of the eye(s), indicating whether the user is identified. The display(s) may be controlled to output the image light to the eye(s) of the user, the image light to have the different amounts of wavefront divergence based at least in part on the generated indication indicating whether the user is identified.

  • Patent number: 10642881
Abstract: A method of emotive autography includes calculating a plurality of classifiers associated with an individual user. Each of the classifiers indicates a preference of the user for an associated type of multimedia content. Multimedia data is received including video data, audio data and/or image data. The multimedia data is divided into semantically similar segments. A respective preference score is assigned to each of the semantically similar segments by use of the classifiers. The semantically similar segments are arranged in a sequential order dependent upon the preference scores. An emotive autograph is presented based on the semantically similar segments arranged in the sequential order.

  • Patent number: 10589764
Abstract: The example embodiments are directed to a device and method for determining a root cause of equipment failure. In one example, the method includes storing a plurality of root causes of previous equipment failures, receiving textual data associated with a current equipment failure, determining a root cause for the current equipment failure by determining a similarity of keywords of each root cause with respect to the received textual data of the current equipment failure and selecting at least one root cause based on the determined similarities of the plurality of root causes, and displaying the at least one determined root cause for the current equipment failure via a display device. The example embodiments provide a system and method that automatically determine a root cause of equipment failure rather than rely on a subject matter expert.

  • Publication number: 20190152011
Abstract: The example embodiments are directed to a system and method for determining the health of a cutting tool used in milling operations or the like. In one example, the method may include receiving operating characteristics of a cutting machine which are captured during an iteration of a cutting operation, generating a signature pattern associated with the cutting machine based on the operating characteristics, the signature pattern representing a unique pattern of the operating characteristics of the cutting machine during the cutting operation, determining health information of a cutting tool of the cutting machine based on the signature pattern and a benchmark signature pattern, and outputting the determined health information of the cutting tool for display on a display device. Accordingly, a cutting tool can be replaced at the optimum time thereby improving productivity and conserving cost.
