  • Patent number: 11827373
Abstract: Aircraft engine exhaust systems enabling short aft fairings are described. An example turbofan engine exhaust system of an aircraft includes a primary nozzle having a leading edge and a trailing edge, and a heat shield coupled to an aft strut fairing. The heat shield has an upstream end and a downstream end. The downstream end of the heat shield is substantially coterminous with the trailing edge of the primary nozzle.

  • Patent number: 11625375
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for batch processing with random access for transaction history are disclosed. A batch processing system receives a batch comprising records of events, including a first record of a first event and a second record of a second event. The system assigns the first and second records to a group based (at least in part) on determining that the events are related. The system determines that the group is related to a match set comprising one or more prior events. The system updates one or more values in the match set based (at least in part) on the first and second records. The system stores the updated match set and one or more additional match sets using a storage object. The system retrieves the match set and not the one or more additional match sets from the storage object using an index.

  • Patent number: 10914311
Abstract: A pre-cooler system employs a powered pre-cooler fan assembly having a fan adapted to receive bypass engine fan air through an inlet plenum with an outlet guide vane array (OGVA) adapted to control airflow from the inlet plenum and fan, with a rotational power source operationally connected to the fan. A shroud directs airflow from the inlet plenum, fan and OGVA into a pre-cooler disposed downstream of the fan and OGVA.

  • Patent number: 10094332
Abstract: A core cowl for a turbofan engine may include a plurality of valleys formed in an outer surface of the core cowl. Each valley may include a convex portion upstream of a concave portion, and may be configured to disrupt a shock cell exiting a fan nozzle of the turbofan engine. Associated methods for reducing turbofan engine noise are also described.
