    Abstract: A method for removing a blinked eye artifact from an image captured by a digital imaging device includes storing multiple images of a subject captured during a burst shot mode of a digital imaging device. The method also includes identifying a presence of a blinked eye artifact on a selected image of the subject upon a receipt of the selected image. The method further includes modifying the blinked eye artifact on the selected image with an open eye image from the multiple images of the subject captured during the burst shot mode.
