Abstract: A gestural control dimmer switch for controlling the illumination level of a light using hand movements comprises a dimmer panel in operative communication with a light, the dimmer panel having a plurality of hand position sensors corresponding to a spectrum of illumination levels of the light, wherein when a hand is detected by the hand position sensors the illumination level of the light is set until the hand reaches a dimmer trigger position when the switch enters a dimming mode during which the illumination level is adjusted to the illumination level corresponding to the hand position sensor the presence of the hand is detected until a release condition is satisfied.

Abstract: An electrical device is provided that can selectively be powered through a neutral wire or an earth ground. The electrical device includes a line terminal, a neutral terminal, a ground terminal, and a selection mechanism. The line terminal is electrically connected to at least one load. The line terminal can be electrically connected to a line (or “hot”) wire. The neutral terminal is electrically connected to the at least one load. The neutral terminal can be electrically connected to the neutral wire. A first electrical path is provided from the line terminal through the at least one load to the neutral terminal. The ground terminal can conduct current to the earth ground. The selection can selectively provide a second electrical path from the neutral terminal to the earth ground via the ground terminal.

Abstract: An electrical interconnect system is comprised of at least one and suitably a plurality of thin body light sources, such as OLED panels, to be electrified. The thin body light source or sources have a thin profile and include a back side provided with surface contact electrodes for energizing the thin body light sources, which can be relatively large area electrodes for providing a relatively large contact surface area. A connector circuit supported by a thin body support structure is provided for making desired electrical connections between thin body light sources or to a voltage or current source when the thin body support structure is brought into engagement with the thin body light sources.

Abstract: Lighting devices and/or systems offer dynamic control or tuning of color of light. The lighting systems utilize sources, such as solid state sources, to individually pump a number of different phosphors of types having relatively high degrees of color purity. The phosphor emissions, however, are still broader than the traditionally monochromatic color emissions of LEDs. The different phosphors can be independently excited to controllable levels, by individually controlled sources rated for emission of energy of the same spectrum. Adjustment of intensities of electromagnetic energy emitted by the sources independently adjusts levels of excitations of the phosphors selected to emit different colors of relatively high purity and thus the contributions of pure colors to the combined light output, for example, to enables color adjustment of the light output over a wide range of different selectable colors encompassing much of the gamut of visible light.

Abstract: A rail mounting system is provided for mounting skylights and other structures directly to rib elevations of a metal panel roofing system. The rail mounting system has a side rail for each side of a skylight or run of skylights that mount to the metal panel roof's rib elevations. Each side rail includes a vertical riser wall, an upper flange extending from the riser wall to provide a top bearing surface for one side of a skylight or run of skylights, and a bottom shoulder structure extending from the riser portion which is adapted for attachment to a rib elevation of the roofing system. The rib elevations on which the side rails of the rail mounting system are attached provide structural support for the skylight or run of skylights supported thereon for substantially the entire length of the skylights or run of skylights.
