  • Patent number: 5046543
Abstract: In making a sunshield for shading a motor vehicle inside a window thereof, a substantial portion of the sunshield is provided with a poster-like message publicly displayable through that window and also publicly displayable outdoors or otherwise apart from the motor vehicle, by a person holding that sunshield up in the air. The sunshield is made foldable accordion style, and is made manually stretchable by a person for a public display of the message outdoors by providing that sunshield with lateral handles with which the sunshield may be engaged and held up, such as by several fingers of each hand of that person.

  • Patent number: 4805955
Abstract: A sunshield is made of a shading material having a predetermined value per unit area. The sunshield is divided into a sunshield proper or main body and a predetermined portion adjacent that main body corresponding in location to a certain component of the motor vehicle inside and in the vicinity of the window, in terms of a positioning of the sunshield in that window. The sunshield is scored between the main body and that predetermined portion, and a redeemable value being greater in terms of unit area than the value per unit area first mentioned herein is imparted to that predetermined portion. A combination of printed matter and structure may be employed for that purpose.

  • Patent number: 4202396
Abstract: A foldable sunshield for motor vehicles comprises a plurality of planar rectangular elements which are joined along their longitudinal edges to form, in the stretched position, a substantially continuous partition and, in the folded position, a prismatic package, at least two planar rectangular elements being provided, in the preferred embodiment, with flap extensions. The sunshield may be used in combination with a window of a motor vehicle and devices, equipment or expedients for releasably retaining the sunshield at the window, such as a rear view mirror, sun visors, hooks, window edges and gaskets, the steering wheel, and the like.

  • Patent number: 4120213
Abstract: A method of torque transmission between a prime mover and a load comprises the provision of a planetary system and a hydraulic torque coupling, the interconnection of the planetary system and the hydraulic torque coupling in a feedback loop, the coupling of the prime mover to the planetary system, the driving of the hydraulic torque coupling with the prime mover through the planetary system, and the transfer of output torques of the planetary system and the hydraulic torque coupling to the load.A transmission system for operation between a prime mover and a load comprises a planetary system and a hydraulic torque coupling which are included in a feedback loop. The planetary system is coupled to the prime mover, the hydraulic torque coupling is driven with the prime mover through the planetary system, and output torques of the planetary system and the hydraulic torque coupling are transferred to the load.
