Patent number: 10202482Abstract: A viscoelastic polyurethane foam formed from a polyisocyanate and a polyol composition comprising palm olein-based polyol in an amount of 10% to 35% by weight of the total polyol composition and petroleum-based polyol in an amount of 65% to 90% by weight of the total polyol composition. The dissipation energy of the viscoelastic polyurethane foam is between 0.01 J to 0.30 J as calculated based on a hysteresis loop normalized a density of 40.80 kg/m3. This shows that the viscoelastic foam produced has an improved dampening property. The introduction of palm olein-based polyol into the production of viscoelastic foam does not affect the support factors and mechanical properties of the foam produced. The viscoelastic foams can be produced using an amount of up to 35% of palm olein-based polyol derived from palm olein or up to 25% of palm olein-based polyol derived from a mixture of palm olein and soybean oil by weight of total composition without any adjustment in the catalyst package.Type: GrantFiled: June 10, 2015Date of Patent: February 12, 2019Assignee: MALAYSIAN PALM OIL BOARDInventors: Nurul 'ain Binti Hanzah, Tuan Noor Maznee Binti Tuan Ismail, Mohd. Publication number: 20170242663Abstract: Methods and computing devices are described for computing a structural model stability metric, a functional model stability metric, and a behavioral model stability metric. A first state of a diagram having a first plurality of actors or participants and a second state of the diagram having a second plurality of actors or participants are obtained. One or more properties for the first state and the second state are identified. A transformation is tracked in the properties from the first state to the second state. The stability metric is calculated for the second state as a ratio of a percentage of unchanged properties from the first state to the second state to a total number of the first plurality of actors or participants in the first state of the diagram.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 24, 2016Publication date: August 24, 2017Applicant: KING FAHD UNIVERSITY OF PETROLEUM AND MINERALSInventors: Amjad Abu Hassan, Mohammad Rabah Alshayeb
