Abstract: A case including a body; a bus disposed on the body; and a plurality of components, each communicably coupled to the bus, the plurality of components including: a processor disposed on the body to regulate transmissions of energy and signals amongst the plurality of components, an internal battery disposed on the body for collecting and distributing energy, a connector disposed on the body for connecting to a mobile device comprising a mobile device battery, wherein the processor is configured to determine a state of charge of the mobile device battery, and a two-way port disposed on the body for detachably connecting to an external source of energy, wherein the processor is further configured to, when the connector is coupled to the mobile device, charge the mobile device battery from the internal battery in accordance with the determined state of charge of the mobile device battery.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the present invention are directed to a case for use with a mobile electronic device. The case includes a body that is detachably secured to the mobile electronic device. An electrical bus is disposed within the body. A connector is disposed on the body. The connector is communicably coupled to the mobile electronic device. The case further includes a memory configured to store a file received from the mobile electronic device through the connector, a processor configured to generate a signal based on the file stored in the memory, and an output port. The output port is configured to transmit the signal generated by the processor to an external device, wherein the external device is communicably coupled to the output port. The connector, the memory, the processor and the output port are communicably coupled to the electrical bus.
