Abstract: An ostomy appliance consisting of an adhesive wafer (1) that permits exposing the skin (2) and Stoma (3) to the air and covering back repeatedly without removing the said adhesive wafer (1) from the said skin (2), comprising an annular adhesive wafer fabric membrane skirt (4) with a void (5), adhesive free interior, equipped with an annular male coupling (6) at the upper inner periphery of the said annular adhesive wafer fabric membrane skirt (4) to which a corresponding annular female coupling (7) fixed on the annular periphery of an annular impermeable barrier membrane (8) that has a central stoma size orifice (9) is coupled together, to which in turn an exact duplicate annular female coupling (10) as the said corresponding annular female coupling (7), equipped with a pouch (11) or other body waste or mucous collecting appliance, attaches together by way of piggyback or superimposition on top of the said corresponding annular female coupling (7).

Abstract: An apparatus and system that is reusable for eliminating intestinal effluent gases and liquids from ostomy bags. The apparatus comprises an impermeable, hollow tube (1) with open extremities that is pushed half way through an orifice punctured on the upper top (10) section of an ostomy bag wall when used as a vent (5) or at the lower bottom (13) section of an ostomy bag wall when installed as a drain (6), an o-ring (21) having the hollow tube (1) section located in the interior of the inner impermeable bag wall (4) passing there through, an identical o-ring (2) having the hollow tube (1) section located at the exterior (15) outer protective bag wall (20), passing there through.

Abstract: An apparatus and system for reducing the area of exposure of intestinal effluent on a stoma wafer by 90% to 100%. The apparatus consists of substituting the pouch on a ring of a mechanically connecting ring ostomy pouch and wafer assembly by a membrane. An orifice equal to or smaller than a stoma is made in the center of the installed membrane. An insert is passed with open end first through the top end of the membrane orifice, is pulled through the bottom end of the orifice, is overlapped by ¼ to ½ inches on the outer circumference of the mechanically connecting ring of the membrane. The membrane with the insert in position is slid down the stoma via the orifice, and the mechanically connecting ring of the membrane is mechanically connected to the opposite corresponding mechanically connecting ring of a stoma wafer that is adhering to the skin.

Abstract: A method of use of colostomy, ileostomy, urostomy or similar ostomy stoma wafers produced as a final product of use without adhesive backing equipped either with plastic type wafer centers with an innovative center elastic stoma barrier ring or with completely innovative one piece elastic stoma wafer centers both of which plastic or elastic centers are surrounded by washable flexible material, to which adhesive is applied, are applied on a stoma, are removed after use, are washed with hand soap or other cleaning agent, are dried, are coated with fresh adhesive are applied on a stoma again and to repeat the process until the stoma wafers become unusable, or the stoma wafers are washed while adhering on the skin around a stoma of a patient and adhesive is re-applied wherever lost and to repeat the process until the stoma wafers become unusable.
