Abstract: A method and apparatus for use in scheduling in an automated process flow such that vehicles for a material transport are staged prior to the commencement of an appointment for the transport are disclosed. The method includes scheduling a material transport in the process flow; and requesting a staging of a vehicle for the material transport a predetermined time period prior to the material transport. The apparatus, in various aspects, includes a computer and computing system programmed to perform the method in an automated process flow as well as a computer-readable program storage medium encoded with instruction that, when executed, perform such a method.

The method includes receiving a request to move material from a first location to a second location in the semiconductor manufacturing facility, accessing information indicative of a duration of the move from the first location to the second location, and scheduling the requested move based on the information indicative of the duration of the move.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for managing recipes in a semiconductor manufacturing process. Recipes and associated process contexts in a manufacturing execution system and corresponding recipes and associated contexts in a recipe management system are audited to identify discrepancies. The discrepancies are reconciled to ensure that compatible recipes and process contexts are maintained in the manufacturing execution system and the recipe management system. The audit and reconciliation process can be initiated automatically at predetermined time intervals or can be initiated interactively by a user of the manufacturing system.

Abstract: A method for managing recipes in a semiconductor manufacturing process which includes resolving a recipe to provide a resolved recipe using a configuration for a current context and rendering the recipe to provide a rendered recipe. The rendered recipe corresponds to a format suitable for consumption by an equipment interface of the semiconductor manufacturing process.
