  • Patent number: 10351173
Abstract: A wheel carrier for a two-track motor vehicle including a wheel-side carrier part, which carries a vehicle wheel; an axle-side guide part; axle-side rotary parts arranged between the wheel-side carrier part and the axle-side guide part and supported on a common bearing site for rotation relative to each other about a rotation axis by respective rotation angles, wherein the carrier part is pivotable about the rotation axis about a pivot point for toe and/or camber adjustment of the vehicle wheel by rotation of at least one of the rotary parts by the respective rotation angle into a rotary position, which correlates with a toe and/or camber angle of the vehicle wheel, wherein the toe and/or camber angle being arbitrarily adjustable within a toe and/or camber angular range. The wheel carrier further includes at least one movement stop adapted for limiting the toe and/or camber angular range of the vehicle wheel.

  • Patent number: 10286954
Abstract: A device for adjusting camber and/or toe of a vehicle wheel of a motor vehicle, includes a wheel carrier including a wheel-side carrier part, an axle-side guide part and rotary parts arranged between the wheel-side carrier part and the axle-side guide part, the rotary parts being supported on a common bearing site for rotation relative to each other about a rotation axis, the wheel-side carrier part being rotatable about said rotation axis about an instantaneous center of rotation for toe or camber adjustment of the vehicle wheel and supporting a brake caliper interacting with a brake disc of the vehicle wheel; and a torque bridge configured as a torque transmission element which supports the wheel-side carrier part on the axle-side guide part when a braking moment acts on the wheel-side carrier part during a braking process, and which when supporting the wheel-side carrier part on the axle-side guide part generates a directed force component with which the wheel-side carrier part is impingable.

  • Publication number: 20170210422
Abstract: A device for adjusting camber and/or toe of a vehicle wheel of a motor vehicle includes a wheel carrier at which the vehicle wheel is rotatably mounted in a wheel bearing and which includes a wheel-side carrier part, an axle-side guide part and wheel-side and axle-side rotary parts arranged there between. The rotary parts are supported at a common bearing point for rotation relative to one another about a rotation axis about which the wheel-side rotary part is pivotable for toe or camber adjustment of the vehicle wheel about a wobble point. The wheel-side carrier part supports a brake caliper which interacts with a brake disc of the vehicle wheel. The wheel-side carrier part is supported upon the wheel-side rotary part via a pivot bearing.

  • Patent number: 9358852
Abstract: The invention relates to a wheel suspension for motor vehicles, with at least one upper transverse arm and two lower separated transverse arms per wheel, which are each arranged at a defined angle to one another and are articulated to the body of the vehicle and also to a wheel carrier, furthermore with a track rod which acts on the steering lever of the wheel carrier and with a McPherson strut unit which, aligned at a defined angle to the vertical, is coupled to the body of the vehicle and to the forward lower transverse arm via a rubber-metal sleeve bearing. To achieve improved driving comfort of the motor vehicle it is suggested that at least the forward lower transverse arm (12) is arranged such that the coupling point (12c) of the McPherson strut unit (20) on the transverse arm (12) when the wheel is deflected viewed in the transverse direction of the vehicle (30) runs parallel to the longitudinal axis (28) of the McPherson strut unit (20).
