  • Publication number: 20240083450
Abstract: A method for securely displaying ASIL-relevant data on a display device of a motor vehicle, where the device includes a transmitter unit, a receiver unit, and a display unit to show the images generated by the receiver unit. Images having higher safety ratings are shown on the display unit with less modification by an image enhancement process in comparison with images having lower safety ratings. Information about the safety rating of an image to be displayed is introduced by the transmitter unit into a data stream by a classifying binary code in color bit information of at least one pixel of the image to be displayed via a pixel matrix, in order to control a change of the image during the image enhancement process in an image enhancer associated with an image-data-outputting receiver unit for images of all safety ratings.

  • Patent number: 8994292
Abstract: An adaptive lighting system having a detection unit by which one or more extrinsic variables, that is variables occurring outside the adaptive lighting system, can be detected and can be transmitted, preferably in the form of at least one electric signal, to an evaluation and control unit, to the evaluation and control unit by which a control signal can be generated from the transmitted extrinsic variable(s) and can be transmitted to one or more adaptive light source(s) and to the one or more adaptive light source(s) which is/are designed to vary one or more it its/their emission properties on the basis of the transmitted control signal.

  • Patent number: 8646939
Abstract: A display system includes an illumination unit in which a predetermined light spectrum can be produced with the illumination unit, the average light intensity of which light spectrum can be reduced or increased over the wavelength range of 420 nm to 500 nm relative to the average light intensity above and below this wavelength range such that the predetermined light spectrum is greater relative to a light spectrum produced without this reduction or increase.
