  • Patent number: 9617428
Abstract: Metal oxides surface modified with M and D groups where the D groups are in excess relative to the M groups exhibit high rheology properties in liquid compositions and provide products with elevated mechanical properties. The modified metal oxides contain a significant quantity of unreacted silanol groups, and can be more easily incorporated into polar organic substances, and also increase physical properties of cured polymers containing the modified metal oxides.

  • Publication number: 20160263540
Abstract: Hydrophilic silicas, especially pyrogenic hydrophilic silicas, when hydrophobicized with alkoxysilanes bearing lower alkoxy groups and C12 and C14 hydrocarbon groups, exhibit higher hydrophobicity and uniformity of hydrophobicization as compared to silicas hydrophobicized with alkoxy silanes bearing hydrocarbon groups with greater carbon content.

  • Patent number: 6605746
Abstract: A process for the preparation of methylheptanone and corresponding homologous methyl ketones involves the cross-aldolization of acetone with the corresponding aldehyde. The polar catalyst phase is introduced with acetone and an organic auxiliary solvent phase to form a two phase mixture in the presence of hydrogen. The corresponding aldehyde is then added at temperatures between 40° C. and 200° C. The process can be run in a continuous manner with the polar catalyst phase being recyled after regeneration. The use of the non-polar auxiliary solvent(s) increase yield and selectivity.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 4785691
Abstract: A device for regulating an internal combustion engine in a motor vehicle is provided with an electrical desired-value transmitter adjustable between an idling position and a full-load position, an actuator, and a regulating member coupled mechanically to the actuator. The set position of the desired-value transmitter is transmissible to the actuator via an electrical transmission circuit via which signals can be entered from further regulating variables; and also to the regulating member via a mechanical transmission member of variable length which can be connected to the desired-value transmitter via a connecting lever. So that this regulating device can be installed with the least possible changes in a vehicle without impairing its emergency running properties and the input of further regulating variables, a drag lever is provided that connects the accelerator pedal to the desired-value transmitter.
