  • Publication number: 20090096188
Abstract: Described is a coupling system for connecting supply lines between a trailer and a tractor vehicle, comprising a socket which is arranged on the tractor vehicle and a support element, having a plug, which is arranged on the trailer. The invention is based on the problem of providing a robustly operating coupling system in which an automatic connection of all of the provided supply lines is possible. The problem is solved by means of a coupling system in which the socket is arranged in a positionally fixed manner on the tractor machine, the plug is guided in a laterally moveable manner in the support element, and the plug can be placed into a connecting position with the socket by means of an actuator which is arranged on the tractor vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20090008903
Abstract: Disclosed is a plug-in coupling system for joining cables between a tractor and a trailer. The invention also relates to the individual components, i.e. the semitrailer coupling and the plug-in connector on which the invention is implemented. The cables between the tractor and the trailer are usually plugged into each other by hand. Automatic systems have not been successful on the market so far. The aim of the invention is therefore to create a plug-in coupling system which allows the supply cables to be connected in a comfortable and operationally safe manner when the trailer is joined to and disconnected from the tractor. Said aim is achieved, among other things, by disposing the socket in a stationary manner below the insertion hole on the semitrailer coupling while arranging the contact points of the plug below the king pin on the plug-in connector.

  • Publication number: 20080150745
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for detecting and displaying the position of components of vehicle couplings, in particular semi-trailer couplings. A combined sensor and display unit is located in a common housing. The sensor unit comprises at least one sensor and the display unit at least one display element. The device can be mounted on the exterior of a semi-trailer coupling or of a sliding unit of a semi-trailer coupling, adjacent to a manual actuating element of a closing or locking device.

  • Publication number: 20020067024
Abstract: The articulating function of a mounting/bearing for fifth wheels is realized by means of a bolted connection or by using rubber elements as a displacement coupling. The object of the current invention is to create a mounting/bearing device for a fifth wheel having the advantages of both the bolted coupling and the displacement coupling. A mounting/bearing as claimed by the current invention for a fifth wheel (1) has a stirrup-shaped bearing pedestal (30) and a bridge (20) which can be fastened to a coupling plate (2) of the fifth wheel (1), whereby a damping element is arranged between the bearing pedestal (30) and the bridge (20). The damping element is realized as a walking element (10). This ensures that the mounting/bearing can be manufactured with large manufacturing tolerances and can be easily swiveled.
