  • Publication number: 20240129560
Abstract: Audio splicing is rendered more effective by the use of one or more truncation unit packets inserted into the audio data stream so as to indicate to an audio decoder, for a predetermined access unit, an end portion of an audio frame with which the predetermined access unit is associated, as to be discarded in playout.

  • Publication number: 20240071211
Abstract: A method for predicting the behavior of at least one road user in a traffic situation. The method includes: obtaining a graph representation of the traffic situation, wherein nodes represent road users, edges represent interactions between the road users and define an adjacency between road users, each node is associated with a state, and each edge is associated with edge attributes; computing an evolution of the states of the nodes based at least in part on a self-evolution of the state of each considered node that is dependent on this state and mediated by a self-evolution operator; and an interaction of each considered node with other nodes that is dependent on the states of these other nodes and mediated by an interaction operator; and computing a sought property that characterizes the behavior of the at least one road user.

  • Patent number: 7204035
Abstract: A piston rod is guided with freedom of axial movement in a cylinder, where the position of the piston rod is detected by a first position-measuring device, which travels along with the piston rod, and by a second position-measuring device on the cylinder side. The two position-measuring devices are radially adjacent and axially parallel, and are supported in such a way that they cannot rotate with respect to each other.

  • Patent number: 6318524
Abstract: A piston-cylinder unit includes a cylinder with a piston rod guide and a piston rod with a piston axially movably mounted in the cylinder so that the piston rod runs through a hole in the piston rod guide. A movement determination device comprising a transmitter portion and a receiver portion determine the movement of the piston from the travel time of waves generated by the transmitter portion. The movement determination device is arranged inside the piston rod guide, and waves reflected by the piston-piston rod component group are analyzed to determine the movement of this component group.

  • Patent number: 5632361
Abstract: Vibration damper, in particular for motor vehicles, including a work cylinder, a work piston fastened to a piston rod and dividing the work cylinder into two work chambers, possibly an equalization chamber and a piston rod guide which seals the piston rod against the atmosphere, whereby the work chambers are filled with a magnetorheological fluid to which an electric coil can be applied. In the event of a failure or malfunction of the electric coil, it must be possible to achieve a safe damping force, by having at least one permanent magnetic field which acts on the magnetorheological fluid.
