Abstract: A luminaire is proposed for matching surfaces which has a light source arrangement accommodated in a housing, a light exit surface provided in the housing and delimiting surfaces delimiting the light emission of the light source arrangement, to form at least one light channel between the light source arrangement and the light exit surface.

Abstract: A system for inspecting matt, flat and/or slightly curved surfaces in order to identify defects includes an illumination device which irradiates the surface to be inspected at flat angles and has the following features. The illumination device is formed from a plurality of elongated luminous surfaces which are disposed substantially parallel to one another. The light distribution of the respective elongated luminous surfaces is tightly concentrated in planes which lie transversely with respect to the longitudinal direction of the respective surface, in such a way that a substantially sheet-type light distribution is produced which covers the surface portion to be inspected. The observer is located within or at least in the proximity of the angle predetermined by reflection of the light radiated by the at least one elongated luminous surface on the surface portion to be inspected.

Abstract: An apparatus for the measurement or visual matching of colors and color effects on a flat or slightly curved sample is proposed, with a lighting apparatus, a sample support and an observer location, wherein the direction of observation of a sample is adjustable by translational displacement of the sample and in the process the lighting direction of the light which illuminates the sample surface remains constant to the sample surface.

Abstract: An advisory lighting with a luminous body has at least one light-radiating light outlet surface. The light outlet surface is divided up into part surfaces radiating in various colours. A light source arrangement radiates light into the luminous body, wherein the luminous body has a light conducting plate arrangement or a hollow body arrangement with limiting walls. The luminous body is composed of light conducting plates or hollow bodies arranged above, next to and/or in each other and having various part surfaces. Various light sources are assigned to the light conducting plates or hollow bodies, corresponding to the part surfaces radiating in various colors, which light sources radiate variously coloured light into the respective light conducting plates or hollow bodies.

Abstract: This invention concerns a device for visually inspecting the surface condition of large-dimension surfaces to be matched, in particular painted bodywork, with substantially vertical and horizontal surfaces to be matched or painted surfaces. Provided at a lateral spacing from the object are vertically disposed luminous elements whose principal radiation direction, viewed in horizontal planes, is directed at an oblique angle to the substantially vertical surfaces to be matched. The luminous elements are protected against being looked at directly from an observation position (B), located in the space between the object (1) and the luminous elements at least from direction R2 of the normals of the vertical surface to be matched.

Abstract: An apparatus is proposed for the color matching or colorimetry of colored samples, which are arranged in a sample support. It comprises a lighting device which illuminates the sample in a main beam direction and an observer provided at an observation position or a measuring device arranged at an observation position, the sample and observation position having a fixed coordination with each other. The sample and the lighting device are arranged in fixed coordination with each other and, to set different angles of observation between the direction of observation from the observation position to the sample and the main beam direction, the sample and the lighting device are pivotable about a common axis of rotation.

Abstract: An illuminating system for the visual inspection of objects is proposed, in which a partly reflecting mirror directing the radiation onto the object is arranged crosswise in the optical path of a light source. An observer optical path is directed onto the object over the side of the partly reflecting mirror remote from the light source. There is also a light trap arranged in such a way that it absorbs the residual radiation not directed onto the object, which passes through the mirror or which is reflected on the mirror surface remote from the object.

Abstract: A reflector for an oblong light source is disclosed, which includes a conical part (1) to which a curved part (2) connects. The inside of both the conical part and the curved part of the reflector have longitudinal grooves extending longitudinally along the parts. A number of grooves in the curved reflector part (2) are provided with a reflection face (8) which runs parallel to a line passing through the starting point and the finishing point of the groove bottom (6). The reflection face is oriented to face towards the central axis of the reflector.
