  • Patent number: 10424682
Abstract: A multilayer encapsulant film having at least two layers includes a first layer comprising an encapsulant resin, and a second layer comprising an encapsulant resin and at least one down-converter, such as a rare-earth organometallic complex. The down-converter may be present in an amount of at least 0.0001 wt % based on the total weight of the encapsulant film. Further layers of a multilayer encapsulant film may or may not include a down-converter. Preferably, a multilayer encapsulant film contains at least one layer with at least one down-converter and at least one layer without a down-converter. Such multilayer down-converting films may be used in an electronic device, such as a PV module.

  • Patent number: 9747281
Abstract: Techniques are provided to allow users of a social network to have multilingual profiles (or profiles in second languages that are different than the users' native, or original, profile languages). In one technique, a translation model is applied to one or more data items (in a first language) in a user's profile to generate translated data items in a second language. The translated data items are displayed to the user (or an online social “friend” of the user) and the user is allowed to select one of the translated data items to include in the user's “second language” profile. The selection may then be used to improve the translation model.

  • Patent number: 9483806
Abstract: During an analysis technique, a cohort of individuals is identified based on a set of attributes. Significance metrics for the individuals in the cohort are calculated based on profiles of the individuals and behaviors of the group of individuals, which includes the cohort, when interacting with the profiles. For example, a significance metric for a given individual may include a number of views of a profile of the given individual, by a group of individuals, during a time interval and/or a number of connection requests to the profile of the given individual, by the group of individuals, during the time interval. Based on the significance metrics, the subset of the individuals may be identified. This subset may include individuals that have achieved career milestones exceeding those of the other individuals in the cohort (e.g., notable individuals).

  • Patent number: 8312407
Abstract: An access pad is used to provide access to a functional block of an integrated circuit (IC) device. The access pad is formed using dummy metal in an open space in a metallization level that is between a top metallization level and a base level on which the functional block is formed in the IC device. The access pad at the metallization level provides a contact to access an underlying circuit of the functional block so that the functional integrity of the functional block of the IC device can be verified during probing.
