  • Patent number: 5105532
Abstract: The invention relates to a mounting device for mounting components on printed circuit boards, comprising a supply carrier for the components, a first unit in the form of a printed circuit board carrier for holding at least one printed circuit board, and a second unit arranged in a plane above the supply carrier and above the printed circuit board carrier in the form of a tool movable in the z-direction to transfer the components from the supply means to the printed circuit board held in the printed circuit board carrier, wherein one of the two units can be moved in an x-y-plane relative to the respective other unit. According to the invention the respective other unit can also be moved in an x-y-plane and the tool can be arrested in a predetermined parking position by means of a tool-arresting device to deposit the component taken from the supply carrier on the printed circuit board.

  • Patent number: 5053103
Abstract: Strip magazine (1, 1') for surface mounted device (SMD) manipulators has a manually operated advance and includes the following features: the magazine includes an elongate, narrow plate body (2) whose width in the narrow direction corresponds to the width of the magazine strip (3). The upper narrow side (upper face 25) of the plate body (2) is bordered by two guide bars (4, 5) whose upper edges are angled toward one another and leave between them a gap (6) which is open at the top for removal of the components. Together with the upper face (25) of the plate body (2) disposed therebelow, these bars form a guide path (F) for the magazine strip (3). On the entrance side of the removal gap (6), there are devices for lifting off the covering tape (9) and for advancing the magazine strip (3). On the exit side of the removal gap (6), the guide path (F) changes to a reversal path (26) which opens into a return path (27 ) for the empty strip (3).

  • Patent number: 4985986
Abstract: An apparatus for mounting and/or soldering or cementing electronic components, in particular SMD components, on printed circuit boards, having a first carrier for at least one circuit board and a second carrier for the component, the second carrier being displaceable relative to the first carrier parallel to the plane of the circuit board and transverse thereto, and having a magazine for the component, is to be arranged so that the respective mounting point on the printed circuit board can be easily found. This is achieved by associating with the second carrier a positioning device having a positioning part automatically displaceable parallel to the plane of the circuit board to the mounting point and having a positioning element on the second carrier that can be brought into operative connection with the positioning part to position the second carrier in respect of its movement parallel to the plane of the circuit board.

  • Patent number: 4948026
Abstract: An apparatus for mounting and/or soldering or cementing electronic components on printed circuit boards, having a first carrier for at least one circuit board and a second carrier for the component, the first and second carriers being displaceable relative to one another parallel to the plane of the circuit board and transverse thereto, and having a magazine for the components, is constructed so that before or after the component has been placed on the printed circuit board displacements of the component or its carrier in at least one of its coordinate directions (X, Y, Z) transverse to and/or along the printed circuit board can be avoided.

  • Patent number: 4934578
Abstract: In an apparatus for mounting and/or soldering or cementing electronic components, in particular SMD components, on printed circuit boards, haing a first carrier for at least one circuit board and a second carrier for the component, the first and second carriers being displaceable relative to one another parallel to the plane of the circuit board and transverse thereto, and having a magazine for the components which has chambers to receive the components, mixing up of the components can be largely avoided while ensuring that it is simple to remove the components from the magazine by providing the chambers with a lid that can be opened and closed by means of a fastening mechanism and having the fastening mechanism opened by the second carrier.
