Patent number: 10190338Abstract: A lock assembly (10) includes a first member (12) and a second member (14) including complimentary shaped protrusions (13) and recesses (15) that mate with one another. A locking assembly is housed in the first member (12). The locking assembly includes an electromechanical actuator (18) with a shaft (20) and a locking element (22) arranged to move along the shaft (20) between a locked position and an unlocked position. The locking element (22) is formed with a recess. In the locked position, a locking bolt (16) passes through both first and second first member (12)s and a latch member (26) is received in the notch (28) but is not received in the recess of the locking element (22) so that the locking element (22) prevents movement of the latch member (26) and the locking bolt (16). In the unlocked position, the latch member (26) is received in the recess of the locking element (22), thereby permitting movement of the locking bolt (16).Type: GrantFiled: April 29, 2015Date of Patent: January 29, 2019Assignee: Mul-T-Lock Technologies Ltd.Inventor: Adalbert Matyko

Publication number: 20080120888Abstract: A lock assembly for a weapon, the weapon including a sliding assembly as part of its firing mechanism, the sliding assembly sliding relative to a chamber that receives therein a round of ammunition fed thereto from a magazine inserted in a magazine well, the lock assembly including a padlock body that houses a lock therein, the lock adapted to selectively lock and unlock a padlock bolt extending from the padlock body, the padlock bolt being adapted for locking engagement with a portion of the weapon, a magazine-insertion member extending from the padlock body, and a blocking member extending from an upper portion of the magazine-insertion member, wherein when the magazine-insertion member is inserted into the magazine well of the weapon, the blocking member has a locking orientation in which the blocking member limits sliding movement of the sliding assembly so as to interfere with operation of the weapon.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 7, 2007Publication date: May 29, 2008Inventors: Adalbert Matyko, Alex Akerman
