  • Publication number: 20130067878
Abstract: A method for interrupting yarn production on a spinning machine interrupts yarn production upon detecting a defined deviation of a monitored yarn parameter from a target value, upon changing bobbins at the winding device, and/or prior to switching off the spinning machine. Feed speeds of the delivery device, the take-off device, and the winding device are gradually reduced to a stop in order to interrupt the yarn production, wherein the reducing takes place such that the end of the produced yarn is located between the outlet of the spinning point and the winding device after the reducing is completed. The invention further relates to a spinning machine having a control and/or regulation device designed for operating the spinning machine according to the disclosed method.

  • Publication number: 20130067880
Abstract: A method for interrupting yarn production on a spinning machine is provided. The spinning machine has a spinning point having an inlet for a fiber material and an outlet for the yarn made from the fiber material, as well as a delivery device for feeding the fiber material into the spinning point, a take-off device for drawing off the yarn out of the spinning point, a winding device for winding up the produced yarn, and a yarn monitoring unit for monitoring at least one yarn parameter. The yarn production is interrupted upon detecting a defined deviation of the monitored yarn parameter from a target value, upon changing bobbins at the winding device, and/or prior to switching off the spinning machine. The feed speeds of the delivery device, the take-off device, and the winding device are gradually reduced to a stop in order to interrupt the yarn production.

  • Patent number: 7113843
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the maintenance of a plurality of processing stations (13) of a textile machine (10), whereby at least one first maintenance unit (14a-d) can travel alongside the processing stations (13) in order to service and/or control the processing stations (13). The maintenance unit (14a-d) may be moved into an optimized readiness position when none of the processing stations (13) needs to be serviced and/or controlled by the maintenance unit. Alternatively, the direction of travel in which the maintenance unit (14a-d) is to travel to the next processing station (13) in need of service is determined, whereby the direction of travel depends on the totality of processing stations in need of maintenance.

  • Publication number: 20050182509
Abstract: Proposed is a procedure for the control of a service module for the maintenance of spinning stations and also a service module for the carrying out of this said maintenance. The procedure is carried out on a spinning machine, which can run at least one activity (A) at individual spinning stations, whereby this activity (A) consists, respectively, of at least one task (I-IV). In a case of a disturbance (4) in the course of the working of a task (I-IV), then the service module is immediately disconnected from automatic operation and is set in stillstand and subsequently, by the said service module itself, at least one procedure (a, b, c, d) for the correction of the said disturbance is carried out in order to complete the activity (A) which is to be carried out, or the service module is reset, into a fully operable state.

  • Patent number: 6910326
Abstract: The invention concerns a cleaning apparatus for the cleaning of a spin rotor of a spinning station leaning head which can be insertably presented to the spin rotor and on which cleaning head are placed at least two scraper elements. In accord with the invention, the at least two scraper elements are pneumatically extendable, wherein the position of the two scraper elements are so secured on the outer circumference of the cleaning head, that the sum of the contact forces which are exerted from the scraper element in the radial direction onto the rotor is zero, or practically zero.

  • Patent number: 6772697
Abstract: The invention concerns an arrangement of service positions for maintenance apparatus, which can travel on a guide rail along a multiplicity of similar workstations on a first side of a textile machine, wherein a maintenance apparatus in a first service position at the elevation of a machine framing of the textile machine can be pivoted away from, or transversely withdrawn from the guide rail. Per side of the textile machine, at least two maintenance apparatuses are exclusively assigned thereto, whereby the guide rail on the first side, at least at one end of the textile machine, is elongated beyond the textile machine and a second service position is placed on the elongated guide rail. In this way, it becomes possible, with a large number of workstations to assure the shortest possible duration of a standstill, wherein in the case of a failure or preventive unkeep of one maintenance apparatus, another maintenance apparatus can serve a workstation in a short time.

  • Patent number: 6662542
Abstract: In open-end spinning and in coordination with predetermined operating phases, a yarn suction pipe by means of which a yarn extending from a bobbin is to be received temporarily is brought successively into different operating planes. The yarn suction pipe is imparted a defined operational movement as a function of the operating planes occupied and in coordination with the current operating phase. The operating positions of the yarn suction pipe that can be moved into at least two operating planes are defined in such a manner that when the yarn suction pipe is in its operating position in a first operating plane, a yarn extending from the bobbin pressing on a winding roller to the yarn suction pipe crosses the traversing range of the yarn traversing guide. However, the yarn is outside the traversing range of this yarn traversing guide when the yarn suction pipe assumes its operating position in an additional operating plane.

  • Patent number: 6553750
Abstract: A spinning rotor of an open-end spinning device is slowed down for piecing to a low rotational piecing speed and is then accelerated to the operating speed. For this purpose, the spinning rotor or an element in driving connection with it is presented a drive transmission device from a service unit by means of which the spinning rotor can be switched from normal production speed to a reduced piecing speed and back. In this process, the drive transmission device can be driven either by a driving apparatus installed on the service unit or by a drive belt extending within spinning machine. The driving apparatus mounted on the service unit is connected to a control device for the control of the evolution of the rotational speed of the spinning rotor. The spinning rotor is driven according to a rotational speed course controlled by means of a program applied by the control device during the time when its rotational speed deviates from its operating speed.

  • Patent number: 6272833
Abstract: On a textile machine, arL empty spool (12) is conveyed along a multiplicity of spool stations (1) situated next to one another. In a predetermined position relative to a grasping apparatus (3) the said empty spool (12) is stopped and is picked up by said grasping apparatus (3), and held by its circumferential surface. After its being lifted by the grasping apparatus (3), the spool (12) is retained in an axial alignment. This retention is discontinued, before the spool (12) is released at the spool station (1) where it is required. For the execution of this procedure, a retaining arrangement (8), composed of stopping devices (4 and 5), is provided for the spool (12) which is held by the grasping apparatus (3). The retaining arrangement (8) idles in a location outside of the transport path which the empty spool (12) will occupy when held.

  • Patent number: 6226971
Abstract: In regard to maintenance services at work station, which is located within the maintenance area of a programmable maintenance device along a plurality of similar work stations, attempts of the same maintenance, which have failed at various work stations have been counted. After reaching a specified number of similar failed maintenance procedures, at various work stations (10, 10a, 10b, 10c) a preset function, for instance an alarm, is released. On the other hand, where successful maintenance procedures have been executed, the numbering of the failed attempts reverts to the zero point.

  • Patent number: 5749213
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process and device for the connection of a negative pressure channel provided with openings installed on a textile machine with a plurality of work stations. A service unit traveling alongside the textile machine is provided with a negative pressure line. The negative pressure channel has openings which are closed off by swiveling flaps. When the service unit is brought to a stop at one of the work stations, the flap associated with the work station is swivelled by means of an apparatus installed in the service unit and the negative pressure line is connected to the opening of the negative pressure channel. Before the service unit leaves the work station, the connection between the negative pressure channel and the negative pressure line is broken and the flap is necessarily swivelled by the apparatus so as to be in front of the opening in order to close the opening.
