    Abstract: It is advisable to use lead-free anti-friction layers in the production of layered composite materials for plain bearings or bushes. The invention relates to a layered composite material comprising a support layer, a metal bearing layer (3) consisting of a copper alloy or an aluminium alloy, a nickel intermediate layer (2) with a thickness >4 ?m and an anti-friction layer (1) consisting of approx. 0-20 wt. % copper and/or silver, with the residue consisting of bismuth. The anti-friction layer is deposited in a plating method using a methyl sulphonic acid-based electrolyte.
