  • Patent number: 9694622
Abstract: A removable cap for receiving a writing implement includes a reverse clip. The cap has a hollow crown section for receiving the writing implement and an elongate cap extension that extends axially from the hollow crown section and includes an end that terminates in a clip flange. An elongate holding prong projecting substantially perpendicular from the clip flange and extending and opening toward the closed first end of the crown section in substantially parallel-spaced relation to the cap extension so as to define in conjunction with the cap extension and the hollow crown section, an elongate U-shaped slot, which is adapted to snugly engage an attachment material inserted into the slot. A gripping member is located within the U-shaped slot and is configured to intimately engage the attachment material inserted into the slot to assist in maintaining the engagement between the cap and attachment material when the writing implement is removed from the cap.

  • Patent number: 9138503
Abstract: Apparatus for dissipating a fragrance or malodor eliminator utilizes an infused disc which a user can place in either a rotating or a fixed position. The two states will dissipate a scent/malodor-eliminator at different rates. The disc is mounted on a shaft that secures the disc in an air stream. The shaft defines several positions at which the disc can be placed, as well as structures to retain the disc at a selected location along the shaft. The shaft is part of a support which includes a mechanism for securing the apparatus within the air stream. Air flow causes the disc to rotate and dissipate at one rate or to pass through a stationary disc at a second, lower rate, as a function of the position of the disc on the shaft. A method of imparting a scent or malodor eliminator to air is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 8524259
Abstract: Systems and methods for delivering release materials, for example drugs and other bioactive materials. Crystalline polymeric systems, referred to as CYC carriers, are associated with the release materials, through chemical bonding or through physical association. The crystallinity of the CYC carriers results from the presence of crystallizable side chains, for example long chain n-alkyl moieties, which results in relatively low and sharp melting temperatures. One class of CYC carriers, referred to as CYSC polymers, have a majority of the crystallizable side chains pendant from the polymer backbone. Another class of CYC carriers referred to as ECC polymers, have a majority of the crystallizable side chains attached to terminal units of the polymer backbone. The ECC polymers can for example be obtained by modification of PLGA polymers. The CYC carriers in another class of non-polymeric.
