  • Publication number: 20160062973
Abstract: Various embodiments relating to collecting and auditing structured data layered on unstructured object are disclosed. In one embodiment, a field-data tracking form may include a plurality of input fields layered over an unstructured base object (e.g., a legacy form, document, image, diagram, etc.). Each input field may correspond to a different data object having attributes that maintain a full traceable history of changes made to the input field. The field-data tracking form may act as a data-entry vehicle that can be sent to mobile computers to allow field data to be entered directly into input fields corresponding to the data objects, while maintaining the visual layout of the unstructured base object. Furthermore, attributes of discrete data objects from different versions of the field-data tracking form may be searched and displayed via an audit viewing tool graphical user interface (GUI).

  • Publication number: 20140379641
Abstract: Co-authoring of a digital content file using content contributed by peer devices in a peer-to-peer communications network is described. A local copy of the digital content file is stored in each of plural peer communications devices disposed in a multi-node communications network. The contents of the local copies of the digital content file stored in at least two peer communications devices are compared and in an event the local copies of the digital content file stored in a peer communications device is missing content that is contained in the other compared peer communications devices, the missing content is merged into the local copy of the digital content file stored in the peer communications device.

  • Publication number: 20130029743
Abstract: A system and method are described for generating hybrid lottery tickets. The hybrid lottery tickets comprise both an instant win portion and a draw portion. The instant win portion provides the opportunity to win a prize at the time of purchase while the draw portion provides the opportunity to win a prize based on a subsequently occurring draw. The instant win portion is generated based on the draw portion, allowing the hybrid lottery ticket to be generated at the time of purchase.

  • Patent number: 7955613
Abstract: A bioartificial implant comprises a semipermeable barrier designed from one side to allow diffusion or prevent diffusion of predetermined substances/materials/molecules/cells/cell lines produced in the human body to the other opposite side of the barrier, and from said other opposite side to allow diffusion or prevent diffusion of predetermined substances which are the same as or different from the first mentioned substances/materials/molecules/cells/cell lines. The semipermeable barrier has a surface coating at least on said one side a bioactive metal, such as titanium, which surface coating is permeable to allow said diffusions. In a method for reducing the risk of formation/growth of connective tissue in connection with an implant which comprises a semipermeable barrier, the barrier is provided at least on one side with a permeable coating of bioactive metal. An example of the use of the implant is bioartificial pancreas.

  • Publication number: 20110067115
Abstract: Embodiments of techniques for distributing and rendering media content are provided. In response to a request for a first media file, a combined media file is generated having first and second segments that together include data from the first media file and from a second media file. The combined media file is then provided to a player module operable to render only data from the first media file during a first operating mode, and operable to render data from both the first and second media files during a second operating mode. For example, the first media file may be a music file, and the second media file an advertisement. A consumer may play the music portion without special software or a license, but the advertisement will be rendered as well. Alternatively, the consumer may purchase a license and use special playback software to render the music without the advertisement.

  • Patent number: 6026493
Abstract: This patent deals with an energy savings circuit, which is itself composed of two circuits, such that levels of activation are established, with specific criteria being met at each level of the sequence. This is referred to as stacking. Another sequence can also be achieved in chaining the circuits together. Yet another can be achieved by clustering them. With each circuit interaction type, there is a distinct order of activation of the circuits, such as cresting, full-wave, and intermittent activation sequences. Also, this patent deals with a system of multiple circuits such that, by the self-regulation of circuit activation sequences or strategies, can achieve greater energy efficiency, processing speed, processor accuracy, and/or signal integrity. This can be accomplished on a variety of dedicated and non-dedicated hardware combinations using commercially available, high-level languages, assembly, or hardware specific languages created by manufacturers for their hardware.
