Publication number: 20210129135Abstract: An hourglass shaped blood fractionation tube is sized and shaped such that whole blood that has been centrifuged with a density gradient medium yields a PBNC layer within the narrowed neck of the tube. This orientation results in an elongated or widened PBMC layer, versus what would result in a conventional fractionation tube. Elongating or widening the PBMC layer allows technicians to harvest higher purity and higher volume PBMC samples versus samples harvested with a standard cylindrical blood fractionation tube. The hourglass shaped blood fractionation tube according to the present invention preferably includes a cap and can be used in conventional centrifuges and robotic pipetting stations.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 31, 2020Publication date: May 6, 2021Inventors: Nicholas Crabtree, Jeff Hrush, Carlos Aparicio, Adam Burke

Publication number: 20140305522Abstract: Provided is a valve module for a stream selector that includes first and second pistons axially movable against a biasing force by fluid from an actuation passage acting on undersides of the respective pistons to move a valve head from a closed position to an open position where fluid flows from an inlet passage into a control chamber portion to an outlet passage. Thereby, the stream selector operates at significantly lower actuation air pressures, while providing a valve module that is backwards compatible.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 10, 2014Publication date: October 16, 2014Applicant: Parker-Hannifin CorporationInventors: Kenneth E. Reid, II, Frank Ruiz, James Adam Burke

Publication number: 20140059933Abstract: A moveable wall panel system is disclosed. The movable wall panel system may include a bottom drop seal assembly that maintains a constant force relative to a floor portion of an environment through a damper. The movable wall panel system may include an automatic top seal assembly that seals a gap between the movable wall panel system and a ceiling of the environment without an actuation from an operator space of the environment, the top seal assembly being positioned above the operator space of the environment. The moveable wall panel system may include a plurality of seals positioned between adjacent panels to seal a gap between the adjacent panels.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 13, 2013Publication date: March 6, 2014Applicant: Modernfold, Inc.Inventors: Brad Jones, Aaron Alexander, Phil Middaugh, Mark McDonough, Adam Burke, Mike Beeler, Robert K. Publication number: 20050029285Abstract: Containers and methods are disclosed whereby portions of an available stand-by supply of flowable material within a container may be dispensed substantially immediately on-demand. Preferably, the containers include an open-ended container shell having a resilient, shape-retaining side wall defining an interior space, a liner positioned within the interior space of the container shell, and a cap closing the open-ended container shell to seal the liner against leakage of flowable material. The liner has a flaccid liner body for containing a flowable material to be dispensed. The cap has a discharge opening to allow an amount of flowable material to be discharged therethrough from the liner body. Importantly, the container includes a valve system which includes one-way discharge and inlet valves.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 22, 2004Publication date: February 10, 2005Applicant: PBM Plastics, Inc.Inventors: Randolph Gay, Adam Burke
