Abstract: A wearable device worn on one or more fingers of user may be used to generate audio content. The wearable device may include one or more bands worn on a finger of a user, wherein each ach band includes motion detection components. The motion detection components are coupled to transmission components which send motion detection signals with movement data to an external device. The external device, for example a mobile device or headset, receives the signals, creates an audio signal in response to the signal and outputs the audio. The external device may provide the generated audio concurrently while providing an audio file such as music. While a user is listening to the music, the user may move his or her fingers, each finger including a band, to generate a variety of sounds, such as a sound from musical instrument such as a drum or guitar.

Abstract: An emergency locator apparatus includes a transceiver configured to periodically send and receive communications with a plurality of other emergency locator apparatus including a target emergency locator apparatus using an ad-hoc wireless local area network. A processor is operably coupled to the transceiver and configured to determine location information of the target emergency locator apparatus utilizing at least context information associated with the communications received from at least a subset of the plurality of other emergency locator apparatus over the ad-hoc wireless local area network. A display is configured to display the location information determined by the processor.
