A local or remote file watcher may monitor locally stored files and detect a deletion or modification action. The file watcher may also identify an entity performing the deletion or modification action. The entity may be an application, a process, a user other than the user that is the owner of the files, or the user himself/herself. The file watcher may further determine one or more alert conditions or rules associated with the affected file(s) and/or the entity, that is under which circumstances an alert is to be issued. The alert notification(s) may be issued to the user, an administrator, a cloud storage service, and/or a data protection service such that protective measures can be taken if necessary.

Abstract: Techniques described herein allow for suggesting creation of distribution lists and suggesting use of distribution lists once they have been created. For instance, these techniques may track a frequency with which contacts (e.g., email addresses, phone numbers, screen names, etc.) are used with one another. The techniques may then suggest that a user create a distribution list that includes those contacts. Furthermore, once a contact has been associated with a particular distribution list, these techniques may suggest that a user send a message to this distribution list in response to the user selecting the contact (rather than the list) as a destination of the message.

The performing of the installation process includes obtaining a content package, from over a network, which includes a manifest which describes a content type for each of the content items. Abstract: In one or more embodiments, in the context of an instant messaging application, a conversation is analyzed and contextually or textually relevant keywords and/or phrases are identified. These keywords or phrases are then highlighted in a visually-identifiable manner for selection by an individual participating in the conversation. Once selected by an individual, a user interface is presented and exposes the individual or individuals in the conversation to various contextually- or textually-relevant material or functionality that pertains to the selected word or phrase. In one or more embodiments, an individual can also manually select a word or phrase to access the user interface that exposes contextually or textually-relevant material or functionality.
