  • Publication number: 20230417330
Abstract: A barrel valve assembly for a fluid distribution manifold. A barrel valve body has an off-axis passage with substantially linear walls therethrough, allowing for a substantially linear relationship between fluid flow through the body and angular rotation of the barrel valve within the manifold. The barrel valve thus requires a smaller working environment for the valve assembly, providing benefits in terms of assembly size and weight.

  • Publication number: 20180253739
Abstract: In one aspect, an automated endorsement prompt systems includes an endorsement prompt module comprising an endorsement signal module for retrieving an endorsement signal from an endorsement server; a search result module for retrieving search results from a search engine; a web history module for retrieving a web history for a user; and combiner logic for providing search results and an endorsement prompt. The combiner logic generates the endorsement prompt from the endorsement signal and the web history. A method for automatically generating endorsement prompts including the steps of: receiving a query from a user; obtaining additional information signals; obtaining a search result using the query; determining whether prompt behavior exists using the additional information; generating a prompt for an endorsement if the prompt behavior exists; and providing the search result and the prompt for presentation.

  • Publication number: 20180147124
Abstract: Certain embodiments are directed to methods, apparatuses, and systems for providing accurate, non-intrusive measurement of breastfeeding. The embodiments described herein are used during the normal breastfeeding routine and measure the volume of breast milk transferred in real time. The device is lightweight, disposable, and does not interfere with the milking mechanisms used by infants. The device provides a more accurate monitoring of infant nutrition and peace of mind for mothers.

  • Publication number: 20150149487
Abstract: A method includes receiving a search query from a client system associated with a first user, and obtaining one or more candidate identifiers associated with the first user. The method also includes identifying a social network set of search results matching the search query and social network criteria for the first user. The social network criteria is satisfied for a respective search result when the respective search result is authored or annotated by one or more author identifiers, and at least one author identifier of the one or more author identifiers is associated with at least one candidate identifier of the one or more candidate identifiers associated with the first user. The method also includes providing to the client system a list of search results including at least a subset of the social network set of search results.

  • Patent number: 7671586
Abstract: An inspection system positions a balancing shim to asymmetrically balance a magnetic field generated by an inductive sensor, which forms part of the inspection system. Additionally, relays and capacitors used to tune the inductive sensor to a desired resonance frequency are geometrically arranged to minimize electrical interference generated by operation of the relays and capacitors. A shielding device, which may be formed on a printed circuit board, protects a magnetic field generated by the inductive sensor from external electromagnetic interference. A slot positioned in the inductive sensor may be used to tune a resonant mode of the inductive sensor to accurately and particularly detect metallic shanks and/or other metallic objects in shoes, socks, and/or clothing.
