  • Publication number: 20200214233
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to a method that may include receiving a watering restriction for a location, detecting that a sprinkler controller is associated with a property within the location, and transmitting, to the sprinkler controller, the watering restriction. Additionally, a method may include receiving, at a sprinkler controller, a watering restriction for a location, the sprinkler controller associated with a property within the location, and adjusting, in response to the watering restriction, a sprinkling schedule for the property.

  • Publication number: 20200183437
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for power management. A device may send an indication of an operating mode. The device may comprise a household appliance or other electronic device. A power load associated with the operating mode of the device may be determined based on the operating mode and system information associated with the device. The operating mode may indicate whether the device is going online or entering a mode requiring an increased or decreased power load. The system information may indicate operating mode data comprising power load data and information to enable power factor correction of the system. An instruction to cause an allocation of power from a power source may be sent. The power source may comprise a capacitor bank or battery to allocate power to the system. The power allocated to the system may enable power factor correction of the system and improve efficiency in the system.

  • Publication number: 20200145824
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for localized multi-factor network authentication are disclosed. A computing device associated with a network may provide an access code via a power line network of a premises and may request that devices attempting to gain access to a wireless network provide the access code. Access of devices to the wireless network may be blocked or limited based on monitored behavior.

  • Publication number: 20200098249
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for determining a notification based on device properties. A device identification database may associate device identifications with device properties. A device identification associated with a device may be received, and corresponding device properties may be determined. Based on the device properties, a notification may be determined and sent.

  • Patent number: 10589057
Abstract: Methods are disclosed for receiving and processing video content to aid in a user's rest cycles, such as sleep and wake cycles. Video content may be received and processed to determine information related to a plurality of pixels to be displayed on a screen. Each of the plurality of pixels may have a corresponding color value. A time of day when the video content is to be displayed is determined, and compared to a current time of day. Based on the comparison or other data, a color value of one or more of the pixels can be adjusted or changed.

  • Publication number: 20190027127
Abstract: A speaker system uses destructive wave interference to generate “dead spots” with respect to an audio presentation. The signal for the dead spot generating device can be an inverted signal generated using the audio signal. In one embodiment, the inverted signal is generated using the audio signal, an indication of loudness at one or more active speakers, and a determination of the characteristics of the sound path from the one or more active speakers (including delay and attenuation).

  • Publication number: 20170013534
Abstract: In accordance with one or more embodiments, networking devices may allow for directed wireless communication. Such devices may direct wireless communication beams in different directions to provide access to different zones. A user may configure a system to prioritize or restrict zones or devices based on criteria. This prioritization may facilitate tiered services among users or devices. A networking device may also direct communication between multiple routers to facilitate a distributed network, allowing for a single device to provide dedicated wireless bridging while separately managing a local wireless network.
