  • Patent number: 11740083
Abstract: Visual-inertial odometry uses visual input from a camera and inertial motion measurements to track the motion of an object. This technique can be applied to surveying urban environments, such as a curb or streetscape, that are impractical to survey with a surveyor's wheel, GPS, or imagery from cars. Making visual-inertial odometry measurements of a curb with a handheld surveying device yields relative measurements from a starting point to an ending point on the curb. These relative measurements can be pinned to an absolute coordinate frame using measurements of gravity made while acquiring the visual-inertial odometry measurements and absolute measurements of the starting and ending points.

  • Patent number: 11731486
Abstract: Provided is a control unit and a system for monitoring in real-time and/or controlling the air quality of a vehicle cabin. Upon receiving input data from various sensors in the cabin of the vehicle, the control unit processes the data and outputs a unified processed/calculated data of all the sensed data from sensors in the cabin that is indicative of the general air quality in the cabin. In addition, the control unit may output instructions of operations that need to be carried out for optimal circulation of the air that results in improvement of the air quality within the cabin. These instructions of operations may be also affected from data that is received by the control unit that is indicative of the air quality in the surrounding of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11669951
Abstract: Techniques are described that enable and assist a social networking system in curating user generated content for publication without relying on a popularity or following of a creator of the content. In some cases, the social networking system may receive a content item generated by a user and determine one or more content centric metrics associated with the content item. The social networking system may then select content items for publication based on the associated content centric metrics.

  • Patent number: 11659904
Abstract: An umbrella having a pet waste bag dispenser is provided. The umbrella includes a canopy mounted to a post, a handle at a lower end of the post. The handle has a first end attached to the post and a second end having a cap member which is a removably attachable on an open bottom of the second end. The handle further defines a cavity therein and an opening formed on a side of the handle. The plurality of bags are in a rolled-up configuration and positionable within the cavity. Each bag of the bag module is accessible through the opening when the bag module is positioned within the cavity.

  • Patent number: 11531460
Abstract: Systems and methods are described that include providing, on a touchscreen display of an electronic device, a stream of content items, at least some of which are associated with a corresponding display anchor. Inputs are detected at the touchscreen display and the inputs are associated with a scroll speed. The scroll speed may be based on a detected distance between the inputs on the touchscreen and an elapsed time between at least two of the inputs. In response to determining a lack of input for a predefined time period, a display anchor can be determined and selected. The display anchor may correspond to a content item to be used as a pause location for the stream. The scrolling of the stream of content items can be paused at the pause location to use the selected display anchor to display the content item in a top viewable portion of the display.

  • Patent number: 10984422
Abstract: Examples described herein generally relate to a computer device including a memory, and at least one processor configured to process a transaction. The computer device receives customer transaction information. The computer device evaluates the customer transaction information to determine a risk score for the transaction. The computer device assigns the transaction, based on the risk score, to one of a plurality of stratums including at least a first stratum and a second stratum. The computer device selects a merchant identifier (MID) from at least a first MID associated with the first stratum and a second MID associated with the second stratum based on at least the assigned stratum and a target chargeback rate for at least one of the first MID or the second MID. The computer device transmits the transaction information and the selected MID to an issuing bank.

  • Patent number: 10783521
Abstract: Reducing an amount of data transactions that are subjected to further review when determining if the data transactions should be approved or rejected. A risk score that defines a first cutoff and a second cutoff are determined. During a first time period, the first and second cutoffs are extended to increase data transactions subject to further review and to create an opportunity group of data transactions not previously approved that are now approved. A rejection rate of the data transactions subject to further review is compared to a threshold. When the rejection rate is no more than the threshold, during a second time period, a volume of the data transactions subject to further review is minimized and a second opportunity group of data transactions not previously approved that are now approved is created. The rejection rate of the data transactions subject to further review are again compared to the threshold.

  • Publication number: 20080064047
Abstract: The present invention is based on the discovery that three proteins, Cystatin B, Chaperonin 10, and Profilin are present in the urine of patients with bladder cancer, a cancer of epithelial origin. Accordingly, the present invention is directed to methods for prognostic evaluation of cancers of epithelial origin and to methods for facilitating diagnosis of cancers of epithelial origin by monitoring the presence of these markers in biological samples. The invention is also directed to markers for therapeutic efficacy.
