  • Patent number: 11898541
Abstract: Wind turbine blade comprising a lightning protection system, said lightning protection system comprising a first lightning receptor mounted near the tip of the blade and an electrical conductor electrically connecting the first lightning receptor and the base of the wind turbine blade. The lightning protection system further comprises a first aerodynamic fence attached to the wind turbine blade between the lightning receptor and the tip of the blade. In this way, a zone of smoother airflow is provided which makes a more effective target for lightning to strike, thereby avoiding damage to other parts of the blade.

  • Patent number: 10113097
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a process for the production of a thermally conductive article that includes (1) pleating a thermally anisotropic sheet having a thermal conductivity in a first plane that is higher than the thermal conductivity in a second plane perpendicular to the first plane and (2) compacting the pleated structure. An article obtained by the process, the use of the thermally conductive article for production of a device, and the device are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 9355370
Abstract: A system and method for the automated generation of documents for a legal transaction over a network using probabilistic prediction of customary usage. The predictions are generated by user experience, expert rules and machine learned classifiers based on user input of transaction data. The classifiers are constructed and tested on a partitioned dataset consisting of transaction data and legal document and clause selections in previous transactions. In one embodiment, such dataset is collected in a document management system.

  • Publication number: 20070119623
Abstract: A pipe handling assembly for transporting pipe sections to and from the drill string of a horizontal boring machine. The system comprises a magazine, a cradle for supporting the magazine, a support member, a drive system, and a transfer assembly. The drive system may move the cradle and the magazine laterally on the support member or may pivot the magazine. The transfer assembly transfers pipe sections between the magazine and the spindle connection area. The magazine and the support frame are disposed above the spindle connection area such that only empty columns of the magazine are outside of the footprint of the boring machine. The magazine may be removed from the cradle when empty or full to continue with the boring operation.
