Abstract: Methods and systems for communication during a procedure (e.g., a medical or surgical procedure) are provided. In one embodiment, a wearable headset is provided that includes a camera. The headset may additional include a headlamp. The camera may be configured for wireless transmission of video to a display device for viewing by an assistant present during the procedure or to a viewer that is remotely located. In one particular example, the video may be transmitted using HTML protocols in real time, such that the lag time is largely unrealized by a person viewing the transmitted data on a display device. In one embodiment, the transmitted image is “flipped” or reversed left-to-right for the benefit of a person assisting in the procedure.
