The method includes receiving an indication that an input is unstable, impacting the ability of a user to provide the input; generating a dynamic keyboard including at least one alphanumeric key, the dynamic keyboard being configured to address the unstable input; presenting the dynamic keyboard to the user; receiving the input from the user, the input comprising a selection of at least one alphanumeric character of a passcode on the dynamic keyboard; and authenticating the input received from the user by comparing the at least one alphanumeric character and a stored passcode.

    Abstract: A microfluidic device performs a method of partitioning droplets from a fluid reservoir containing particles that provides a non-Poissonian distribution of dispensed droplets containing a desired number of particles. Using an electrowetting on dielectric (EWOD) device, droplets are dispensed having a Poissonian distribution of dispensed droplets containing a desired number of particles, and the droplets are interrogated to determine whether each dispensed droplet has a desired number of particles. Droplets that contain the desired number of particles are moved by EWOD operation to a reaction area on the EWOD device, and droplets that do not contain the desired number of particles are rejected and moved by EWOD operation to a holding area on the EWOD device that is different and spaced apart from the reaction area. The result is that droplets in the reaction area have a non-Poissonian distribution of droplets containing the desired number of particles.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices, and systems for generating clock signals. The present implementations more specifically relate to generating multiple clock signals having different frequencies using a single piezoelectric resonator. In some aspects, a clock generator, including a piezoelectric resonator coupled to a voltage amplifier in a feedback network, may be operable in a high-performance mode and a low-power mode. When operating in the high-performance mode, the clock generator may produce a high frequency clock signal and a low frequency clock signal using the same piezoelectric resonator. In some implementations, the high frequency clock signal may be produced by a buffer amplifier coupled to an output of the voltage amplifier and the low frequency clock signal may be produced by a frequency divider coupled to the output of the voltage amplifier. When operating in the low-power mode, the clock generator produces only the low-frequency clock signal via the frequency divider.
