Publication number: 20250124643Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to processor communications fabrics. In some embodiments, a processor includes multiple client circuitry and fabric circuitry that includes at least first and second instances of a tile. The tile may include: client inputs configured to interface with client circuits, tile inputs configured to interface with one or more other tile instances, and communication resources that include internal links and outputs. The communication resources may be assignable to the client inputs and output and may include resources to satisfy all requests, in a given cycle, from one or more non-stallable channels supported by the apparatus. The communication resources may also include additional resources allocable, in a given cycle, to one or more stallable channels supported by the apparatus. Control circuitry may, in a given cycle, assign communication resources of a given tile instance to at least a portion of the client inputs and tile inputs for a next cycle, based on priority information.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 20, 2024Publication date: April 17, 2025Inventors: Adam J. Smith, Sergio V. Tota, Christopher G. Martin, Yoong Chert Foo, Terence M. Potter, Max J. Batley

Publication number: 20240417841Abstract: An optimized metallic thermal spray coating able to achieve a suitable surface finish such that it slides against a hydraulic seal without damaging the surface of the hydraulic seal or causing hydraulic fluid to leak between the two sliding surfaces. The optimized metallic thermal spray coating can achieve a surface finish which has a combination of roughness characteristics consisting of an arithmetical mean roughness, a maximum profile peak height, a mean roughness depth designated, skewness, and a roughness relative material ratio, each of which is within well-defined upper limits and/or ranges.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 14, 2023Publication date: December 19, 2024Inventors: Ardy S. Kleyman, Adam J. Smith, Daming Wang, Levi J. Von Bokel

Publication number: 20230407100Abstract: Improved wear resistant coatings are provided based upon a novel abrasion resistance factor (R) for a given average size of abrasive fine particles. The improved wear resistant coatings exhibit minimal oxide content and minimal porosity, while exhibiting improved wear resistance and hardness. The improved wear resistant coatings are made from a composite material consisting of a hard phase and a metallic binder derived from powder particle sizes ranging from about 0.5 ?m-30 ?m as part of a modified thermal spray process.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 14, 2022Publication date: December 21, 2023Inventors: Adam J. Publication number: 20230304124Abstract: A molten metal filter box. The filter box includes a filter housing provided in a flow path for molten metal. A horizontal partition is disposed within the filter housing and has at least one filter receiving passage. A filter medium in the shape of a substantially flat plate is positioned within the filter receiving passage and below an inflow path of the molten metal. The filter medium includes a hole. A filter handling tool is disposed within the hole. The filter handling tool can optionally include a handle secured to the molten metal filter box to suspend the filter medium. Advantageously, the filter medium can be removed by grasping the filter handling tool and removing the filter medium.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 26, 2023Publication date: September 28, 2023Inventors: Adam J. SMITH, Paul BOSWORTH, Robert FRITZSCH, Mark VINCENT

Patent number: 9744189Abstract: Lithium is regarded as the gold standard comparator and benchmark treatment for mania. One of the problems associated with Lithium is its narrow therapeutic window. Recent attempts to find new drugs with similar therapeutic activities have yielded new chemical entities. However, these potential new drugs have yet to match the many bioactivities attributable to lithium's efficacy for the treatment of neuropsychiatric diseases. Consequently, an intense effort for re-engineering lithium therapeutics using cocrystallization is currently underway. The evaluation of pharmacokinetics of previously unexplored lithium salts with organic anions (lithium salicylate and lithium lactate) has found that these lithium salts exhibit profoundly different pharmacokinetics compared to the more common FDA approved salt, lithium carbonate, in rats.Type: GrantFiled: November 12, 2014Date of Patent: August 29, 2017Assignee: University of South FloridaInventors: Adam J. Patent number: 4861220Abstract: A load positioning assembly and method for locating and maintaining a load supporting device on a material handling vehicle, includes a load carrying device mounted on a frame and a load carrying portion elevationally movable along an elevationally oriented axis. A pilot member which is freely movably supported on a carrier connected to the load carrying portion is elevationally movable with the load carrying portion between first and second preselected elevationally spaced apart positions relative to the frame. A first engaging device moves the pilot member in directions transverse to the axis in response to movement of the pilot member toward the first elevational position and maintains the pilot member at a first preselected transverse location relative to the axis and the load supporting device at a preselected transverse location at the first elevational position of the load carrying portion. The load positioning assembly is particularly suited for use on an SGV.Type: GrantFiled: August 23, 1988Date of Patent: August 29, 1989Assignee: Caterpillar Industrial Inc.Inventor: Adam J. Smith
