The request for content can include a keyword. The data processing system can identify a content item responsive to the request for content based at least in part on the keyword, and can identify a match between a format of the content item and an input format of the request for content. The data processing system can assign a weighting factor to the content item based on the match, and responsive to the weighting factor can select the content item as a candidate for display at a computing device.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media that may be used to provide content based on third-party ratings are provided. One method includes receiving data identifying a plurality of affiliated entities that a content provider wishes to promote within published content. The method further includes receiving rating data from one or more third party entities. The rating data relates to one or more of the plurality of affiliated entities. The method further includes selecting two or more affiliated entities from among the plurality of affiliated entities for inclusion within a published content item based on the ranking data from the one or more third party entities. The method further includes generating the published content item including content relating to the two or more selected affiliated entities.

Abstract: An offer identifier is generated when an end user purchases an online offer via an application module on the end user's remote client device. An offer receipt comprising the offer identifier is communicated to the purchaser, and the offer identifier is stored on the purchaser's remote client device. The offer identifier is communicated to a merchant payment system when redeeming the offer offline at the merchant's store and then communicated to the offer redemption recording system. The offer redemption recording system lists the offer identifier received from the merchant payment system as redeemed. The offer redemption recording system uses the listed offer identifiers to identify previous purchasers of online offers by searching for the matching offer identifiers on the purchaser's remote client device when the purchaser uses the application module on the remote client device to access web sites associated with an ad server.

Abstract: An initiator computing device may acquire a digital coupon having a first value. The initiator computing device may share the digital coupon with a recipient computing device. An advertisement server may be notified that the initiator computing device has shared or has an intent to share the digital coupon with the recipient computing device. The advertisement server may calculate a second value associated with the digital coupon and assign the second value to the digital coupon responsive to the initiator computing device sharing the digital coupon with the recipient computing device. Further, the advertisement server may receive logging information associated with sharing the digital coupon. The logging information can facilitate monitoring the influence of the digital coupon.
