  • Patent number: 10956579
Abstract: A system for assessing software risks includes a non-transitory computer readable medium and a processor. The non-transitory computer readable medium stores category risk scores based on findings generated by software security analysis tools of different categories. The processor receives at least one first finding from a first category of software security analysis tools and at least one second finding from a second category of software security analysis tools. A first category risk score is computed based on the at least one first finding. A second category risk score is computed based on the at least one second finding. An overall risk score for application code is determined by computing a weighted average based on the first category risk score and the second category risk score. A graphical user interface displays the overall risk score.

  • Patent number: 10945012
Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for recommending podcasts. In an embodiment, the system detects a podcast request, and responsively determines whether a profile of the user indicates consumption by the user of podcasts. Responsive to determining that the profile does not indicate consumption by the user of podcasts, the system determines music preferences of the user based on data of the profile, and generates a podcast seed based on the music preferences. The system selects a podcast recommendation based on the podcast seed, and provides the podcast recommendation to the user. The system receives a selection of the podcast recommendation by the user, and responsively plays back a podcast corresponding to the podcast recommendation.

  • Patent number: 10899659
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a glass article may include a glass body having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface. The first surface and the second surface each have a radius of curvature. The first surface of the glass body comprises a flaw population extending from the first surface into a thickness of the glass body with a maximum initial flaw depth Ai. The first surface of the glass body may be etched to a depth less than or equal to about 25% of the maximum initial flaw depth Ai of the flaw population present in the first surface. When the glass article is under uniaxial compressive loading, at least a portion of the first surface is in tension and a uniaxial compressive strength of the glass article is greater than or equal to 90% of a uniaxial compressive strength of a flaw-free glass article.

  • Publication number: 20210019411
Abstract: Particular embodiments described herein provide for an electronic device that can be configured to allow for the mitigation of ransomware. For example, the system can determine that an application begins to execute, determine that the application attempts to modify a file, determine a file type for the file, and create a security event if the application is not authorized to modify the file type. In another example, the system determines an entropy value between the file and the attempted modification of the file, and create a security event if the entropy value satisfies a threshold or determine a system entropy value that includes a rate at which other files on the system are being modified by the application, and create a security event if the system entropy value satisfies a threshold.

  • Publication number: 20210021221
Abstract: Systems and methods for extracting motor operational state parameters from an electric motor for improved motor control and motor fault or failure detection are discussed. An exemplary system includes an excitation circuit to apply a drive voltage to an electric motor, and a processor circuit to measure a resulting winding current, extract a current waveform by oversampling the winding current in an entire PWM frame at a sampling rate higher than the PWM frequency, and fit the current waveform in the PWM period to a parametric model. The processor circuit can determine a motor operational state parameter using one or more of the applied drive voltage or the parametric model of the winding current.

  • Publication number: 20210016875
Abstract: An Electric Vertical Take-off and Landing (EVTOL) Passenger Air Vehicle (PAV) using a plurality of electric motors positioned concentrically about the passenger compartment and utilizing ducted turbines to produce thrust allowing the vehicle to take off and land vertically and fly without the use of aerodynamic wings. Utilizes a plurality of independent electric battery powered motors providing sufficient thrust to ensure the vehicle can hover and complete a safe landing despite a loss of thrust from any two adjacent motors and up to half of the motors, if non-adjacent, by utilizing redundant onboard flight control systems to vary motor torque as need to maintain steady, controlled flight. Design utilizes a pivoting seat for passenger comfort as well as shock mounting of the seat for safety. Ingress and egress are facilitated by integrated folding air stairs. The turbine fairing is designed to be rapidly manufactured as two parts, as upper and lower shells, using a composite forging process.

  • Patent number: 10889922
Abstract: An enhanced, co-formed fibrous web structure is disclosed. The web structure may have a co-formed core layer sandwiched between two scrim layers. The core layer may be formed of a blend of cellulose pulp fibers and melt spun filaments. The scrim layers may be formed of melt spun filaments. Filaments of one or both of the scrim layers, and optionally the core layer, may also be meltblown filaments. The core layer may include consolidated masses of cellulose pulp fibers to, for example, enhance texture and cleaning efficacy of a wet wipe made from the structure. The material forming the consolidated masses may be selected and/or processed so as to cause the masses to have reduced visual discernibility relative the surrounding areas of the structure, when the fibrous web structure is wetted. A method for forming the structure, including formation and inclusion of the consolidated masses, is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10857346
Abstract: The breakaway assembly includes a first breakaway subassembly and a second breakaway subassembly. The subassemblies are configured to connect, which causes bellows sheaths in each subassembly to compress and open pores, allowing fluid to flow through the subassemblies. The subassemblies can be connected to luer tip. The luer tips can be connected to an intravenous (IV) fluid line or other types of lines used in the medical field to move fluids. This allows the movement of fluid from a fluid-holding component to a patient. Unless the subassemblies are locked together, the subassemblies will be disconnected under the correct amount of pressure. This disconnection closes the pores on the subassemblies, which keeps fluid from leaking, and prevents the contamination of the IV line. Luer tips may also be connected to the subassemblies. Some of the luer tips allow for the quick connection of the luer tip to the subassembly through a flange being inserted into a notch or flange acceptor.

  • Publication number: 20200353092
Abstract: The invention relates to improvements in drug delivery and more particularly to the use of Cell Penetrating Agents (CPA's) or Cell Penetrating Peptides (CPP's) which have been stabilized by, for example: i) stapling two amino acids to form Stapled CPP's (StaP's) or ii) stitching three or more amino acids to form stitched CPP's (StiP's). These stabilized CPP's are conjugated to a drug or Biologically Active Compound (BAC) directly or via a Bi-Functional Linker (BFL) so that the BAC can be carried though a cell membrane by the CPP. The resulting molecules are referred to as Drug Carrying Cell Penetrating Molecules (DCCPM's). The preferred BAC is an electrically low charge carrying oligonucleotide such as a phosphorodiamidate morpholino oligonucleotide (PMO).

  • Publication number: 20200344167
Abstract: A method and apparatus of a network element that processes a packet in the network element is described. In an exemplary embodiment, the network element receives a data packet that includes a destination address. The network element receives a packet, with a packet switch unit, wherein the packet was received by the network element on an ingress interface. The network element further determines if the packet is to be stored in an external queue. In addition, the network element identifies the external queue for the packet based on one or more characteristics of the packet. The network element additionally forwards the packet to a packet storage unit, wherein the packet storage unit includes storage for the external queue. Furthermore, the network element receives the packet from the packet storage unit and forwards the packet to an egress interface corresponding to the external queue.
