  • Patent number: 11957881
Abstract: A pen cap for a medication delivery pen includes a piston-style detector mechanism. The piston-style detector mechanism includes at least an inner shell having first open end through which the medication delivery pen can be inserted, a second end opposite the first end, a sidewall defined by an outer surface and an opposing inner surface, and a passageway extending from the outer surface to the inner surface. The sidewall extends between the first end and the second end thereby defining a pen-receiving cavity there between. The piston-style detector mechanism further includes at least one switch and a translatable shaft at least partially disposed in the passage. The translatable shaft includes a body that extends at least from a pen-interfacing portion in the pen-receiving cavity to a switch-interfacing portion thereof.

  • Patent number: 11819667
Abstract: A liquid delivery system cap device is provided. In some embodiments, an example cap device includes a body defining a cavity configured to receive at least a portion of a liquid delivery device, a first sensor configured to output a first sensor signal indicative of a plunger of the liquid delivery device, and a processor configured to detect a plunger of the liquid delivery device based on a variation in the sensor signal of the first sensor.

  • Publication number: 20220305210
Abstract: A cap device for a liquid delivery device operates to detect a position of the liquid delivery device relative to the cap device as the liquid delivery device is inserted to the cap device and rotated relative to the cap device. The cap device includes one or more sensors configured to detect a position of the liquid delivery device relative to the cap device. The position of the liquid delivery device can be used to determine whether the liquid delivery device is inserted and arranged in an appropriate axial and/or radial position relative to the cap device so that the cap device can accurately detect a condition of the liquid delivery device.

  • Publication number: 20210354390
Abstract: Additive manufacturing or 3D printing produces considerable quantities of waste ink or resin during the course of additive manufacture. The waste ink is a hazardous substance and must be collected and disposed of accordingly. The present embodiments provide a waste ink collection device that collects the waste ink from the printing process, or from head cleaning and other incidental operations, stores the waste and cures it. The waste ink is thus rendered safe for conventional disposal. A waste ink disposal cartridge collects the waste ink and carries out curing.

  • Patent number: 11084205
Abstract: A method of providing nozzle calibration parameters for a 3D printer comprises: printing an arc pattern, printing an X-Y align pattern, and printing a head calibration pattern, measuring actual positions of drops, calculating deviations of said measured actual positions from expected positions, and calculating calibration parameters to correct for the deviations. Indicator drops may be used to allow built-in image recognition to find the calibration drops, and a cam system is provided to guide nozzle wipers.
