Publication number: 20250104154Abstract: Embodiments of the inventive subject matter are directed to retirement plan optimization. By collecting client information, systems and methods of the inventive subject matter are configured to develop scenarios for a user. From those scenarios, multiple simulations can be run. Each scenario features scenario parameters, and each simulation features simulation parameters. Scenario parameters can include ranges of values or a set of different possible values. For a given scenario, many simulations can be run, where each simulation has a corresponding set of simulation parameters, and where each set of simulation parameters features set values for each of the scenario parameters for that scenario. After running multiple simulations for each scenario, high performing simulations can be identified based on a base case performance and based on one or more optimization goals. Once high performing simulations are identified, actionable retirement plans can be developed therefrom.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 23, 2024Publication date: March 27, 2025Inventors: Beau Walker, Michael Ryabik, Brian Lee Hayes, Adam Joseph Recker, Christopher Robert Fischer, Jonathan Raymond Gussick

Patent number: 12245786Abstract: Disclosed embodiments include apparatuses for and methods of separating tissue with opposing jaw members having distal ends that translate toward a surface of the tissue as the jaw members are rotated outwardly to maintain engagement with the tissue. In an illustrative embodiment, an apparatus includes jaw members rotatably coupled adjacent to their proximal ends. The jaw members define opposing outwardly-facing curved channels disposed between their proximal and distal ends that slidably engage a distal pin. A bracket defines a distal socket that receives the distal pin. As the jaw members are motivated in a distal direction relative to the bracket toward the distal pin, engagement of the distal pin with the outwardly-facing curved channels causes the jaw members to rotate to cause the distal ends of the jaw members move outwardly transversely to the distal direction while the distal ends translate in the distal direction.Type: GrantFiled: June 24, 2022Date of Patent: March 11, 2025Assignee: Olympus CorporationInventors: Adam Lee Smith, David A. Patent number: 12221178Abstract: A steering system for an articulated truck. The articulated truck is formed of a tractor and a trailer and an articulation joint. The steering system includes a hydraulic cylinder, with a cylinder barrel and a piston. The steering system provides for changes in angle between the tractor and the trailer. The hydraulic cylinder includes a snubbing tube projecting into the cylinder barrel. A hydraulic fluid passage opens into the cylinder barrel within the snubbing tube. The snubbing tube includes a main slot and a plurality of channels each extending between an interior and an exterior of the snubbing tube. The plurality of channels have a cross sectional area smaller than a cross sectional area of the main slot. When the articulated truck is steered, the piston moves in the cylinder barrel and the snubbing tube dampens the movement to prevent forces generated by the piston damaging the articulated truck.Type: GrantFiled: April 16, 2021Date of Patent: February 11, 2025Assignee: Caterpillar SARLInventors: Matthew Lee Dixon, Steven Edward Johnson, Adam J. Publication number: 20250045071Abstract: Implementations relate to determining a rendering type for an application that is executing automatically. Based on user interactions with an application that is associated with specified input from the user while the user is interacting with the application, a confidence metric is generated for each specified input and a rendering type is determined based on the confidence metrics. Subsequently, when the user requests that a sequence of actions be performed, the application will be displayed according to the rendering type.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 4, 2023Publication date: February 6, 2025Inventors: Cliff Kuang, Diana Avram, Mugurel-Ionut Andreica, Radu Voroneanu, Sneha Ashok, Deepak Goyal, Kyunghoon Lee, Alice Liang, Dana Ritter, Adam Coimbra, Anton Berezin, Andre Elisseeff

Publication number: 20250044422Abstract: Split-detector lidar photoreceivers are described which utilize range-dependent focus to transition from illuminating two detector elements with returns from near targets, within a close-range threshold distance, to illuminating just one detector element for all other returns. In some examples, a split-detector can have or include a “bullseye” (concentric) detector configuration. Because two separate detector elements with separate amplifier chains are used, one channel can be optimized for the strong to and near-target returns, while another channel can be optimized and used for all other returns.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 31, 2023Publication date: February 6, 2025Applicant: Allegro MicroSystems, LLCInventors: Andrew S. Patent number: 12215202Abstract: This document describes a process of producing gel microparticles, which are consistent in size and morphology. Through the process of coacervation, large volumes of gel microparticle slurry can be produced by scaling up reactor vessel size. Particles can be repeatedly dehydrated and rehydrated in accordance to their environment, allowing for the storage of particles in a non-solvent such as ethanol. Gel slurries exhibit a Bingham plastic behavior in which the slurry behaves as a solid at shear stresses that are below a critical value. Upon reaching the critical shear stress, the slurry undergoes a rapid decrease in viscosity and behaves as a liquid. The rheological behavior of these slurries can be adjusted by changing the compaction processes such as centrifugation force to alter the yield-stress. The narrower distribution and reduced size of these particles allows for an increase in FRESH printing fidelity.Type: GrantFiled: May 12, 2023Date of Patent: February 4, 2025Assignee: Carnegie Mellon UniversityInventors: Andrew Hudson, Thomas Hinton, Adam Feinberg, Andrew Lee
