The audio reactions are captured by microphones on the client devices and are time-stamped. The method also includes mixing the audio reactions by a mixer server to form a mixed audio reaction, and sending the mixed audio reaction to at least one of the client devices. The client device is adapted to play the mixed audio reaction and a mass media presentation. The mixed audio reaction and the mass media presentation are synchronized to create an audience effect for the mass media presentation. The present technology also provides echo removal, volume balancing, compression, and time stamping of an audio stream by the client device. Reactions from at least one of buttons and gestures to activate synthesized sounds, for example clapping, booing, and cheering, which are mixed into the mixed audio reaction.

An example method comprises registering a merchant with a payment service to create a merchant account and registering a user with the payment service to create a user account. The merchant can registers an entitlement with the payment service to receive a payment service entitlement identifier. A payment request associated with the entitlement is received from a user. The payment request includes the entitlement identifier associated with the payment service or with the merchant and a payment amount. A database is queried to validate the entitlement identifier and a price and, upon successful validation, the user account is credited with purchasing the entitlement, and the payment amount is transferred from the user account to the merchant account.

Abstract: Systems and methods of the present disclosure include a virtual wall having a plurality of media, as referred to as entries or media items. The system lays out the entries horizontally and vertically in the virtual wall. In the virtual wall, many carousels, or horizontal strips of pages, are stacked vertically, and gestures are detected to move vertically, from one horizontal strip to the next above or below. To navigate the display to the next carousel, the client device receives a user input to navigate between carousels, and transitions between the currently displayed media item to a media item in a different carousel. To navigate to the next media item within a carousel, the client device receives a user input to navigate between media items within a carousel, and transitions between the currently displayed media item and a next or previous media item within the carousel.

The time to start the application on a remote computer is calculated and displayed. The time to start can be calculated based on an obtained a speed of the network to the remote computer, a time to transmit the portion of the application to the remote computer based on the portion of the application and the obtained connection speed, and a loading time for the portion of the application to load on the remote computer.

As the user acts within the digital world, application or platform their actions are monitored for acquiring, using and removal of virtual objects with secondary entitlements. Each acquired virtual object is checked for secondary entitlements, and if so added to the users list of secondary entitlements. Each removed virtual object is checked for secondary entitlements, and if so removed from the users list of secondary entitlements. Uses of the secondary entitlements, either inside the digital platform or in the larger outside world, is also watched, and the list of available secondary requirements is updated as necessary.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to the use of a PDE4 inhibitor and a glucocorticoid to treat peripheral B-cell neoplasms. In particular, the present invention provides a method of treating individuals (e.g. patients) diagnosed with peripheral B-cell leukemias by administering pharmaceutical compositions comprising Type 4 cyclic adenosine monophosphate phosphodiesterase inhibitors and a glucocorticoid. Preferably, the combination of the PDE4 inhibitor and the glucocorticoid has a synergistic effect on apoptosis such that the level of apoptosis induced is greater than the level that would be expected by simply adding a PDE4 inhibitor to a glucocorticoid.
