The method may further include if during a predetermined wait time an attach to the charging port is detected, then ignoring the detach from the charging port and allowing the charging current to charge the electronic device at the lower current limit associated with the charging current. The method may further include if during the predetermined wait time the attach to the charging port is not detected, then initiating a charging port detach process.
