Patent number: 11941742Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to processor communications fabrics. In some embodiments, a processor includes multiple client circuitry and fabric circuitry that includes at least first and second instances of a tile. The tile may include: client inputs configured to interface with client circuits, tile inputs configured to interface with one or more other tile instances, and communication resources assignable to the client inputs and tile inputs. The communications resources may include: multiple internal links, client outputs configured to interface with client circuits, and tile outputs configured to interface with one or more other tile instances. Control circuitry may, in a given cycle, assign communication resources of a given tile instance to at least a portion of the client inputs and tile inputs for a next cycle, based on priority information. The control circuitry may update priority information based on assignment results over multiple cycles.Type: GrantFiled: June 23, 2022Date of Patent: March 26, 2024Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Adam J. Publication number: 20240086624Abstract: A digital display of an active window is provided. An application, separate from the application providing the digital display, is capable of identifying an artifact in the active window of the digital display without a priori knowledge or an application programming interface to the application providing the digital display. The artifacts may be alpha-numeric artifacts or non-alpha-numeric artifacts. The active window may be examined in multiple dimensions including 2 dimensions, 3 dimensions or more. Alpha-numeric artifacts, once identified, are pre-processed to remove anti-aliasing to allow for processor optical recognition.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 14, 2023Publication date: March 14, 2024Inventors: Charles N. Corfield, Stephen L. Bulick, E. Peter Fox, Adam M. Ornstein, Derek C. Smith

Publication number: 20210271699Abstract: Document retrieval techniques include storing in an index for each archived document a vector of dimension N, based on a query portion of the document and a particular algorithm. An analogy query is received from a requester, indicating a query portion A, a query portion B and a query portion C, each of one or more documents, so that each retrieved document D has a query portion D that is related to C as B is related to A. Vectors A, B and C are determined each based on its query portion and the particular algorithm. A transform from vector A to vector B is determined. An enhanced vector Q is based on the vector C and the transform. Each retrieved document D is based on proximity of a vector of each in the index to the enhanced vector Q; and at least a reference is presented to the requester.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 8, 2019Publication date: September 2, 2021Inventor: Adam M.
