  • Patent number: 11905986
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein include fastener assemblies. In an embodiment, a fastener assembly comprises a sleeve with a hole, an inner surface, and top and bottom ends. The top end has a planar surface, and the inner surface has a cylindrical surface. The fastener assembly includes a fastener downwardly extending through the hole, and having a drive slot, a head, a shank, and a threaded region. The head is positioned within the bottom end. The head is separated from the threaded region by the shank. The fastener assembly comprises a cover disposed on the top end and having an access hole and top and bottom surfaces. The cover is welded to the sleeve to define an inner cavity between the cover, sleeve, and fastener head. The access hole is positioned over the drive slot. The cover, sleeve, and fastener comprises materials having high temperature, strength and oxidation resistances.

  • Publication number: 20220364527
Abstract: Seals for gimbaling and/or fixed rocket engine nozzles, and associated systems and methods are disclosed. A representative rocket propulsion system includes a rocket engine having an exhaust nozzle, a seal plate carried by the exhaust nozzle, and a seal engaged with the seal plate. The seal includes at least one support, multiple pivotable first flaps, carried by the at least one support and positioned to contact the seal plate, and multiple pivotable second flaps, with an individual second flap positioned to shield a corresponding individual first flap. At least one forcing element is operatively coupled to at least one of the individual first flap or the individual second flap, to apply a pivoting force to the at least one of the individual first flap or the individual second flap.

  • Patent number: 9172428
Abstract: Techniques for determining the spectral content of a data bus are described herein. An example of a device in accordance with the present techniques includes a data bus comprising one or more signal lines, a first phasor generator, and a second phasor generator. The first phasor generator obtains a first data value based on the data to be transmitted over the data bus and generates a first phasor. The second phasor generator obtains a second data value based on the data to be transmitted over the data bus and generates a second phasor. The sum of the first phasor and the second phasor indicate, at least in part, the spectral content of the data to be transmitted over the data bus.
