  • Patent number: 11438529
Abstract: Systems for detecting a presence of a microbolometer are provided. The systems may also discriminate a type of the microbolometer. The systems may comprise analog filtering and processing or digital filtering and processing. In some examples, both analog and digital filtering may be used. For example, a system may comprises a photodiode, an analog to digital converter (ADC) having a frequency sampling rate of at least two times an expected frequency range of known microbolometers and a processor. The ADC may receive an amplified output from the photodiode and produce a sampled sequence using the frequency sampling rate. The processor converts the sampled sequence into a frequency profile, examines the frequency profile to identity at least a fundamental frequency and determines whether a microbolometer is detected in a line of sight of the photodiode based on the fundamental frequency.

  • Patent number: 11162688
Abstract: The present disclosure describes thermally insulating glass laminates that prevent heat from escaping from heated cavities. In some embodiments, the thermally insulating glass laminates comprise a low or non-conductive coating layer that forms a chemical bond with at least one substrate, wherein the coating layer has a thickness of about 0.010 inches or less, wherein a plurality of glass spacers is submerged in the coating layer, and wherein at least one sealed cavity of gas molecules is created between the substrates and around the glass spacers. Since there is a small amount of gas molecules in each cavity, convective heat transfer between the substrates is minimized thereby minimizing heat loss through the laminates into the surrounding environment.

  • Patent number: 10920455
Abstract: A locking mechanism for a bored lock has a lock chassis, a locking element, a motor housing, a reversible electric motor, an auger, and a spiral lock spring disposed between the locking element and the motor. The motor may drive the auger in a first or second rotational direction to move the spring towards/away from the motor to reduce/increase spring force on the locking element, thereby moving the locking element to an unlocked/locked position. One of the locking element and motor housing has a projection while the other has a guideway for slideably receiving the projection. The guideway prevents rotation of the locking element with respect to the motor as it moves between locked and unlocked positions. The projection and guideway are interlocked to prevent disassembly of the locking element and motor housing.
