Abstract: An interchangeable mold for use in the manufacture of injection molded components is disclosed. An interchangeable mold can have a component mold made of one material (e.g., metal) and a base mold made of another material (e.g., polymer). Each of the base mold and the component mold can be manufactured using additive or subtractive manufacturing processes. The component mold can be attached and detached from the base mold to permit the forming of different components using the same base mold.

Abstract: A computerized eyewear retrofit kit for use with an eyewear frame comprises an elongated body having a first end comprising a first end surface and a connector that is configured to pivotally couple to an eyewear frame, and a second end configured to rest on an ear of a wearer wearing the eyewear frame. At least one processor is mounted in the elongated body and is coupled to a rechargeable power source mounted in the elongated body. At least one sensor is coupled to the elongated body and operatively coupled to the at least one processor. A charging port is formed in the elongated body first end surface that is configured to receive a charging cable, wherein when the computerized temple is coupled to an eyewear frame using the connector and the elongated body is substantially perpendicular to a rear surface of the eyewear frame, the charging port is hidden.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a support structure comprises an elastic layer that is sized and configured to snuggly conform to a wearer's head and generally extend from the wearer's forehead to the base of the wearer's skull, and connection elements provided on the layer that are configured to secure mounting elements of a head-mounted optical device to be supported by the support structure.
