  • Patent number: 11425442
Abstract: The invention relates generally to a system and methods for streaming broadcast event, and more particularly to a system and methods for distributing one or more commentary streams corresponding to the broadcast event. The system may be configured to receive, via an interface, a search request and, in response to the search request, present one or more broadcast streams, such as a live and/or recorded poker tournaments, eSports events, and the like. In response to detecting a selection of a broadcast stream, the system may obtain one or more associated commentary streams, which are prepared by a registered commentator and include audio and/or video. The system may then distribute a list of the associated commentary streams in a region of the user display. Advantageously, the list of commentary streams may provide a user with multiple points of view such as commentary specific for a home team and an away team.

  • Patent number: 10951937
Abstract: Systems for efficiently providing multiple commentary streams for the same underlying broadcast content may include client applications that enable a user/viewer to select multiple commentary streams for a variety of events from one or more content sources. Exemplary broadcast content may include television shows, movies, and events that may include, for example, a plurality of live and/or recorded poker tournaments, eSports events, and the like. For each event, the systems also may enable a user/viewer to select from one or more live and/or recorded commentaries associated with the event. The event content and the commentary stream may be displayed in different display regions on a single device (such as a computer) or may be displayed simultaneously on different devices. Various technical advantages may be achieved by separating the event content from the commentary content. Revenue for the broadcast may be shared between the event content provider and the commentary content providers.

  • Publication number: 20210065140
Abstract: Systems and methods for using drones in dispersed welding applications are disclosed. In some examples, drones may be used in large and/or dispersed welding environments to quickly navigate the large distances and/or reach areas that might be more difficult for a person to reach. In some examples, the drones may use one or more attached devices to locate, identify, and/or collect information from welding equipment, welding workpieces, and/or welds within a (e.g., large and/or dispersed) welding environment.

  • Publication number: 20200130090
Abstract: Systems and/or methods for welding-type production cell monitoring are disclosed. Some examples of the present disclosure relate to a welding-type monitoring system configured to track parts, production, and/or operations within a welding-type production cell. In some examples, the monitoring system comprises a computing system, one or more tags attached to one or more first items, and/or one or more tag readers attached to one or more second items. In some examples, the one or more tags store data relating to the first items, and the one or more tag readers are configured to read the data using a close proximity communication protocol when in range of the one or more tags. After the tag reader reads the data from the tag, the tag data may be communicated to the computing system, which may, in turn process the data to determine whether one or more workflow events are associated with the data. If so, the computing system may execute an event script corresponding to the workflow event.

  • Patent number: 5385157
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for extinguishing and storing a cylindrical smoking material, such as a cigarette or a cigar. A cylindrical body has open ends, one of which is for receiving the smoking material. A cylindrical cap has an open end adapted to snugly receive the one open end of the cylindrical body. As such, the one open end of the cylindrical body may be capped in a substantially airtight manner. A hollow cylindrical plug has an open end for providing access to an interior cavity of the plug. A flexible screen covering the open end of the plug extends away from the open end of the plug and fits snugly within the other end of the cylindrical body in a substantially airtight manner. The cylindrical plug includes a non-smooth surface for facilitating gripping thereof. As such, the smoking material may be inserted into the one open end of the cylindrical body, which is then capped by the cylindrical cap, thereby smothering the smoking material within the airtight cylindrical body.
