  • Patent number: 11577410
Abstract: A tool-holding arm includes a plurality of links and a tool coupling that removably secures a tool to the tool-holding arm. A first fluid spring provides a gravity-counteracting force to the tool-holding arm. A locking mechanism selectively locks the first fluid spring. An adjustment mechanism selectively adjusts an amount of the gravity-counteracting force provided by the first fluid spring.

  • Patent number: 10583551
Abstract: An exoskeleton configured to be coupled to a user includes a plurality of interconnected support elements constituted by rigid compression members interconnected through a tensegrity joint. The joint includes a tensile member having a first end and a second end coupled to first and second ones of the support elements respectively.

  • Publication number: 20180243155
Abstract: A three-dimensional surface scan of an exoskeleton wearer is performed to generate three-dimensional surface data, and a three-dimensional surface model of the exoskeleton wearer is generated from the three-dimensional surface scan data. A three-dimensional exoskeleton model is generated from the three-dimensional surface model. At least one three-dimensional exoskeleton component is printed from the three-dimensional exoskeleton model, and a custom-fit exoskeleton is assembled using the at least one three-dimensional exoskeleton component.

  • Publication number: 20140251056
Abstract: A robotic arm assembly includes a first arm and second arm coupled by a shaft and bearing assembly, forming a joint at which the first arm rotates about a joint axis. The bearing assembly includes angular contact cartridge bearings contacting corresponding angled surfaces of the assembly, and a bearing cap. The shaft is attached to the first arm, extends through the second arm, and is attached to the bearing cap such that the bearing assembly is axially compressed between the bearing cap and the first arm. The bearing assembly may include components for preloading the bearing assembly and enabling components to self-align during assembly.

  • Patent number: 7422090
Abstract: Caliper brake assembly for engaging a rimmed wheel on a frame of a bicycle. First and second brake arms are provided having brake pads supported on first ends thereof and bores extending therethrough for receiving a bolt for providing a pivot point for the pivotal attachment of the first and second brake arms to the bicycle frame. A spring is associated with the first and second arms to bias their brake pads away from the rimmed wheel. A rocker assembly is included in the caliper brake assembly which includes a rocker arm pivotally appended to a second end of the first brake arm, the rocker assembly having a region for fixedly receiving a control cable and a region for pivotally receiving a link, the link provided for pivotally connecting the rocker arm proximate to a second end of the second brake arm.
