A power source or battery is disposed within the bag or carrying case, and a particularly configured power interface module is adapted to be electrically coupled to the battery or power source. The power interface module may include an interface input port for connecting to an external power source and an interface output port for connecting to an electronic device. The power interface module is positioned at the interface opening of the article-carrying tool or bag such that the input port and the output port are accessible from an exterior of the bag. The power interface module is particularly contoured externally for protecting the input and output ports and is particularly contoured internally for directing electrical connectivity to the power source.
