  • Patent number: 8370286
Abstract: Disclosed are methods and apparatus for providing a set of recommended annotations. A set of tags associated with a content item within a content sharing system is identified, where the content item is associated with a user of the content sharing system. A set of global tag co-occurrences within the content sharing system is identified for the set of tags, where each of the global tag co-occurrences in the set of global tag co-occurrences identifies a pair of tags including one of the set of tags, wherein the pair of tags have both been used together to tag at least one of the content items within the content sharing system. One or more sets of personal tag co-occurrences is identified for the set of tags, where each of the sets of personal tag co-occurrences is used in a corresponding one of one or more personal contexts of the content sharing system, the one or more personal contexts relating to the user of the content sharing system.

  • Patent number: 6262778
Abstract: An image processing system 11 is arranged to produce data representing a combined image from foreground data F representing a foreground subject in front of a chroma backing and background data B representing a background image. The foreground data is processed and color corrected to produce first and second processed foreground data which is combined in a combiner 25 under the control of a first key K1. The background data is processed using a second key K2 to “cut” a “hole” in the background image. The processed background data and the combined foreground data are added together in an adder 44. A third key K3 is used to remove unwanted data from the added foreground and background data and to combine the resulting data with the processed background data in a combiner 45.

  • Patent number: 6067073
Abstract: An electronic graphic system comprises an image store for storing data defining an image, a brush store for storing data defining a drawing implement and a stylus and touch tablet for inputting position data and other data. A spatial filter is arranged to respond to the data from the stylus and touch tablet device to filter the brush data to produce brush data defining a drawing implement of a size depending on the data from the stylus and touch tablet device. The filtered brush data is used by a drawing processor to process data in the image store.

  • Patent number: 5557713
Abstract: Features in an image being modified can be expanded or contracted under the control of the user. The expansion and contraction are both executed by offsetting image data and then writing the offset data to a store where it is combined by a weighted summation with data previously stored therein. This operation is repeated for different offsets. The effect of the weighted summation is also to add soft edges to features in the picture and the system may therefore be used to soften control images.
