  • Publication number: 20240392995
Abstract: A method for controlling an Air Handling Unit (AHU) of an HVAC (Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning) system servicing a building space of a building includes determining when there is an elevated pathogen transmission risk in the building space. In response to determining that there is an elevated pathogen transmission risk in the building space, the AHU is controlled to adjust operation of the AHU to alleviate the elevated pathogen transmission risk.

  • Patent number: 12131828
Abstract: Devices, methods, and systems for monitoring and/or assessing compliance with infectious disease guidance for reducing infectious disease transmissions are described herein. The systems may include sensing devices at or within a facility and computing devices to compare data based on outputs from the sensing devices with guidance and/or recommendations for mitigating infectious disease transmission. Various compliance parameters may be identified as being relevant to the guidelines and measurable with outputs from the sensing devices. Various compliance parameters may be identified as being relevant to the guidelines, but not measurable with outputs from the sensing devices. The compliance parameters may be individually scored or scored in groups, including the compliance parameters not measureable with outputs from the sensing devices, and a score relative to a facility or group of facilities may be provided. The scores may be presented to via a dashboard.

  • Publication number: 20220021667
Abstract: A building control device includes a controller for controlling one or more building control components, the controller configured to generate building control information and/or consume building control information. The building control device includes an MQTT component that is operatively coupled to the controller, the MQTT component for publishing outgoing building control information generated by the controller and/or subscribing to incoming building control information for consumption by the controller over an IP network. A MUD component is for use in advertising one or more specifications for the building control device on the IP network.
