Abstract: A cap for a thermometer having a probe configured to be placed in contact with a patients body or to be inserted into a body cavity of the patient and a temperature sensor includes a cap housing, a proximity sensor and a proximity sensor electrical conductor. The cap housing is configured to selectively connect with and to be selectively detached from the thermometer and at least partially surround the probe of the thermometer when connected with the thermometer. The proximity sensor is connected with the cap. The proximity sensor electrical conductor is connected with the cap and electrically connected with the proximity sensor. A thermometer including the cap is also provided.

Abstract: A reconfigurable grille for use in association with an axial fan, and a fan assembly including the reconfigurable grille. The reconfigurable grille includes a central hub, an outer rim, and a plurality of vanes each extending from the central hub to the outer rim. The plurality of vanes are configured to switch between at least a first configuration and a second configuration, for example, by a rotation of the central hub relative to the outer rim. The grille can further include a control element to switch the vanes between different configurations.

Abstract: A self-securing handle for a tool having a longitudinally extending main body portion, is provided. The handle includes an elongate body having a first end and a longitudinally opposed second end, and a central cavity extending from the first end to the second end thereof. The handle further includes a securing mechanism positioned within the central cavity proximate the second end of the handle. The handle receives the tool main body portion within the central cavity, and the securing mechanism mates with a receiving structure on the tool main body portion to secure the handle to the tool main body portion.

Abstract: A utility knife handle including a housing with an interior cavity that houses a locking mechanism, a blade storage area, and a blade carriage mechanism. The locking mechanism includes a biased locking member that is slidably provided within a first housing portion and an engagement member provided on a second housing portion pivotally connected to the first housing portion. The housing has a closed position in which the locking member is engaged with the engagement member and an open position in which the locking member is slid out of engagement with the engagement member and the first and second housing portions are rotated to allow access to the interior cavity of the housing. The blade storage area includes a blade receiving portion with a magnet therein for holding stored blade within the blade storage area. The blade carriage mechanism has a blade carriage slidably disposed within the interior cavity of the housing and adjustable to a plurality of distinct locked positions.
