  • Publication number: 20170322303
Abstract: A method of calculating ionospheric scintillation includes calculating a motion-corrected perturbation of a GNSS radio signal received by a monitoring device deployed in an oceanic environment. The method includes calculating the ?? using the high rate phase of the GNSS signal adjusted by removing the change in distance between the monitoring device and the GNSS satellite. The calculating the ?o may further include passing the adjusted high rate phase through a high pass filter to remove a drift motion of the monitoring device. The method further includes calculating the S4 through calculating a tilt angle between the antenna of the monitoring device with the GNSS satellite and adjusting the antenna gain through known gain pattern of the antenna. The wave height of the oceanic environment may be calculated by detrending the antenna height to remove low frequency motion when a high rate position of the monitoring device is calculated.

  • Patent number: 9713815
Abstract: A marker airbrush device for transferring marking solution from a marking device onto a writing surface using air is provided. The airbrush device includes a housing with an air outlet, a trigger for controlling an amount of air travelling through the air outlet, and a marker positioner coupled to the housing. The marker positioner positions a marking device relative to the air outlet such that air traveling through the air outlet contacts at least one surface of the marking device to transfer marking solution onto a writing surface. In embodiments, rotation of a portion of the marker positioner advances and/or retracts the marking device with respect to the flow of air through the air outlet, thereby altering the angle and/or amount of air that contacts the marking device during spraying. In another embodiment, the marker positioner includes a locking lever for engaging against the marker device nib and/or housing.

  • Patent number: 9692175
Abstract: An electrical connection system can include a first member including one or more spring pins, located within a rigid frame. After assembling the spring pins into the rigid frame of the first member, the frame can be overmolded creating an electrical connector at the end of a cable. The second member of the system can include one or more contact pads located within a rigid frame. After assembling the contact pads into the rigid frame of the second member, the frame can be overmolded creating an electrical connector at the end of a cable. The rigid frame of the first member can be located within the rigid frame of the second member to align the spring pins with the contact pads. • Publication number: 20170116379
Abstract: Optimization of therapeutic outcomes is disclosed. By analyzing molecular genomic sequence data from an individual relative to a pre-defined knowledge base as well as dynamically generated analyses from comparison to a set of other individuals and molecular genomic sequence data of those other individuals along with their therapeutic history and clinical outcome, medication selection for optimum therapeutic outcomes is achieved. The system determines likelihoods of the desired clinical outcome and adverse event profile derived from both the predefined knowledge base along with the dynamic analysis of large-scale population data (e.g., 1 million clinical profiles including linked genomes or some appropriate sample size of clinical profiles with linked genomes sufficient for statistically-powered analyses), and provides a set of recommendations and alternatives for a clinician based on the patient's profile.
